🇱🇹Here’s what Tadas Ratkevičius, a participant from Lithuania, says about Enefit EV Rally 2025:
Although the popularity of electric vehicles in the Baltic States is steadily growing, we still don’t see a real breakthrough.
Of course, this will take time – and it may also require government involvement, whether through subsidies or by introducing taxes on polluting cars.
But one of the most important factors driving change is education and sparking people’s interest in EVs.
That’s why I’m really glad to see more and more initiatives that encourage people to explore electric cars – involving not only individual drivers but also families and like-minded enthusiasts. Such events give participants the chance not only to learn more about EV capabilities but also to spend time together in a fun way.
Last weekend, we had the chance to take part in one of these initiatives – the “Enefit EV Rally” in Riga, Latvia. Despite the name, it’s not a speed race but rather an orientation-style event, where participants complete a variety of fun tasks, discover new things about electric vehicles, and enjoy the beautiful Latvian surroundings.
For us as a family, it was a wonderful Saturday – exploring the Riga region, completing challenges, and spending time with fellow EV enthusiasts.
At the moment, this event is organized only in Latvia, but I truly believe we’ll soon have similar formats in Lithuania as well. It’s a great opportunity for those who are just getting interested in EVs to learn more, and for those who have already started their first kilometers to get to know their car better, share experiences with like-minded people, and, of course, have a lot of fun!
