Save this song for your next run.
I went for a jog today for the first time in over a year. And these jogs, are exactly how I even got started on my path to a metabolic specialist. See Jogging was my therapy in high school when…..
My step mom was dying of cancer, I took my dad off life support, my mom was in a coma from a hemorrhagic stroke but survived and now lives with me , my brother was hit and ran over by trucks, and I was just to be starting college.
Who would have thought those runs that were insanely therapeutic, would turn into my first job at an all women’s gym, to Human & Anatomy, meeting my now husband , sports medicine , body building, exercise science degrees, into hospital Operating rooms, my own virtual clinic, a career devoted to “helping people” ( I say that because of my fear of losing people and death and control which I now know through therapy, and you can’t just fix people, even with medicine. Because sometimes it just out of our control. )
That I became too obsessed with exercise and fixes. Then my own body and flesh too started failing.
Until I met Jesus. And boom. It’s like all of a sudden peace just washed over me. That first hour of peace - is indescribable. An Amazing Grace.
I’ve been in EMDR therapy, seeking counseling at my church, and all the things. I still believe exercise and medicine have a place. But it’s nothing without a faithful spirit.
I was explaining my whole journey in this video , now being a stay at home mom with all this and not exercising nearly as much because I’ve put all my efforts into my spiritual wellbeing. Not just physical. My children. My family. ..
where I don’t have work to just keep my mind busy , and this song came on during my jog! I use .
Anyways. If you made it this far , thanks for stopping by! ✌🏼
