a) to regulate, to organize and develop the practice of athletics in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg as well as it is defined by the statutes of the international federation World Athletics
b) to coordinate the efforts of athletes and clubs related to athletics, to represent and defend their moral and material interests to public authorities, to national and international authorities, federations and sports organizations. (c) to include the promotion of sports activities not regulated by other sports federations

🚨 National U16 Best 🚨

Luca Vignoli ran 4:46.0 today at the Lëtz Mile – Luxembourg City Road Mile, setting a new U16 best* over the road mile.

He improves the previous best of 4:47.3, set by Tim Steiner last year.

🚨 National Record 🚨

Ruben Querinjean takes the victory in the elite race at the Lëtz Mile Luxembourg City Road Mile with a time of 4:02.3, setting a new national record*.

With his 4:02.3, he stayed under the required minimum standard of 4:02.50 .

Congratulations on this outstanding performance, Ruben! 👏🏻

A great form check ahead of next weekend’s World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen 🇩🇰, where Ruben will compete in the road mile.

🚨 National U16, U18 & U20 Best 🚨

On Sunday at the New Balance Kö Meile
in Düsseldorf 🇩🇪, Maxine Thein ran the road mile in 4:56.91, setting new U16, U18 and U20 national bests*.

With this performance, she comfortably stayed below the required standards for all three age categories.

Another strong result for Maxine, adding yet another national best to an already impressive season. 👏🏻

🚨 National Record 🚨

On Sunday, Vera Hoffmann competed in the elite race at the New Balance Kö Meile in Düsseldorf 🇩🇪, clocking a chip time of 4:34.67 and setting a new national record* in the road mile. She finished 9th overall in a highly competitive elite field.

She improved the previous national record of 4:34.8, set by Marine Joblin in June this year, by 13 hundredths of a second.

Congratulations to Vera on this great performance and new national record! 👏🏻

🇱🇺 Quatre Luxembourgeois sélectionnés pour les Championnats du monde de course sur route !

Les 19 et 20 septembre prochains, Copenhague accueillera les Championnats du monde de course sur route. Quatre athlètes représenteront le Luxembourg sur le mile :

👟 Ruben Querinjean
👟 Fidelio Klein
👟 Vera Bertemes-Hoffmann
👟 Marine Joblin

Vice-champion d’Europe du 3 000 m steeple et 4e de la finale de Diamond League à Bruxelles, Ruben Querinjean arrive à Copenhague après une saison exceptionnelle.

Pour Fidelio Klein, ce rendez-vous marquera une première sélection dans un grand championnat international avec la FLA.

Chez les femmes, le spectacle promet également d’être au rendez-vous. Marine Joblin, qui a établi le record national du mile sur route en 4:34.8 le 13 juin dernier, tiendra sur la ligne de départ aux côtés de Vera Bertemes-Hoffmann, elle aussi en grande forme après avoir couru le 1 500 m en 4:06.04 le 2 septembre à Trèves, troisième meilleur chrono de sa carrière.

Avec deux femmes et deux hommes engagés, le Luxembourg participera également au classement par équipes mixtes du mile. 🇱🇺

🇱🇺 Deux superbes 4es places en finale de la Diamond League à Bruxelles ! 💎

Très belle soirée pour l’athlétisme luxembourgeois lors de la finale de la Wanda Diamond League à Bruxelles !

⚡ Patrizia van der Weken a pris une magnifique 4e place sur 100 m en 11.08 (+0.3), à seulement un centième du podium.

🏃‍♂️ Ruben Querinjean a lui aussi réalisé une grande performance en terminant 4e du 3000 m steeple en 8:11.97, tout en étant le premier Européen de la finale.

Deux athlètes luxembourgeois au plus haut niveau mondial, face à l’élite internationale. 🇱🇺👏

Yesterday at the Flutlichtmeeting in Trier🇩🇪, Maxine Libens-Thein ran the 1500m in 4:33.32, setting a new U16 national best*.

She improved the previous mark of 4:37.46, held by Elena Lopes since 2023, by 4.14 seconds.

Another impressive performance from Maxine, adding yet another national best to her growing collection!

On Sunday at the ASVO – Memorial Rachel Hanssens in Oudenaarde 🇧🇪, Maxine Libens-Thein ran the mile in 5:05.97, setting a new national U16 best*.

She improved the previous mark of 5:12.25, held by Elena Lopes since 2022, by an impressive 6.28 seconds.

Another strong performance from Maxine, adding yet another national best to her growing collection.

🚨 National Record 🚨

Today at the Silesia 🇵🇱 Diamond League, Ruben Querinjean set a new national record* in the 3000m steeplechase, clocking an impressive 8:05.36.

He improved his own previous record of 8:09.47 by 4.11 seconds, making him 6th all-time in European history over the distance.

Ruben finished 4th overall and first European, earning valuable Diamond League points in the race for qualification for the Diamond League Final in Brussels.

Another outstanding performance on the international stage! 👏🏻
