Cold temperatures, rain and treacherous roads made Sunday’s WTCS race in Karlovy Vary a real test of resilience.

Jeanne Lehair delivered another outstanding performance, taking 4th place and confirming her position among the world’s elite. She remains 6th in the World Championship ranking.

Eva Daniels had a tougher day, crashing on the slippery bike course. Thankfully, she avoided serious injury and, most importantly, any head impact. Showing great courage, she finished 28th, scoring her first Olympic ranking points.

Linda Krombach was unfortunately disqualified after accidentally passing underneath a buoy during the swim. Despite the frustration, her performance was extremely promising in her first-ever WTCS race, especially over the standard-distance format (1500m / 40km / 10km). With the Junior World Championships just 10 days away, the decision was made to stop the effort and prioritise recovery.

On the men’s side, David Lang made his international comeback after health issues earlier this season. He showed a solid swim before a difficult bike leg, where a small crash eventually forced him to retire.

A day full of emotions: a top-level confirmation, valuable Olympic ranking points and important lessons through adversity.

Dear Athletes,
Based on our experience from previous editions, registration for the IM70.3 Région Moselle sells out very quickly, and we expect the 2027 race to be no exception.
Please note that, going forward, the FLTRI will not receive any additional starting places for the Luxembourgish Middle Distance Championship held as part of this event.
If you wish to compete in the 2027 IM70.3 Région Moselle and the Luxembourg Middle Distance Championship, we strongly encourage you to register as soon as registration opens. Registration for the 2027 edition is expected to open up on Wednesday 12.08.2026.

European Junior Sprint Triathlon Championships – Elbląg, Poland

What an incredible day for our junior athletes!

Sebastian Ziekman is the new European Junior Sprint Triathlon Champion after a near-perfect race. He exited the swim with the lead group, stayed composed throughout the technical and demanding bike course, and delivered a perfectly timed attack during the run to secure the gold medal. A fantastic achievement that rewards months of dedication and hard work.

Also in the men’s race, Emile Valnost finished an impressive 27th in his European Championship debut, while Charel Schiltz battled through a difficult day to claim 39th place.

In the women’s race, Linda Krombach produced an outstanding performance to finish 5th. Despite losing ground in the swim, she fought back all the way to the finish, confirming her talent and bright future at the international level.

Due to errors in the results, the results for the 2026 Echternach National Sprint Triathlon Championship have been cancelled.
Corrected results will be posted online in the coming days.
The winners will be recognized at the annual FLTRI Awards ceremony.

De nouveaux classements corrigés seront mis en ligne dans les prochains jours.

Three Luxembourg athletes were in action this Saturday at the World Cup in Edmonton, Canada.

Lucas Cambresy finished 27th, followed by Théo Marti in 31st, while David Lang crossed the line in 47th.

A strong weekend of racing at the fourth WTCS round in Quiberon, France.

Jeanne Lehair continued her excellent season with a 5th-place finish, moving to the top of the World Championship standings.

Competing at this level for the first time, Lucas Cambresy gained valuable experience and delivered a solid performance to finish 24th. Gregor Payet, returning to short-course racing, crossed the line in 35th place after a committed race.

In the Mixed Relay, our team, reinforced by the talented young Linda Krombach, remained in contention with the leading nations for much of the event before securing an encouraging 12th-place finish.

🥉 Third place for Théo Marti at the Magog Americas Cup this Weekend.

A strong and determined race from Théo, despite a 10-second penalty that cost him the chance to fight for the win.

Gentle reminder to the athletes with annual FLTRI licence who participate in the 🇱🇺 Middle Distance Championship this Sunday 12.07. at IM70.3 Region Moselle:
as usual there is no separate start wave for you but you are kindly asked to group together at the start of the race with the first part of the rolling start (swim start Age Group athletes at 8.05am just after HC & PC athletes who start at 8.00am).
IM provides you with swim caps in a separate color (light blue).
Starting together will allow the FLTRI an easier tracking of the results for the championship. The flower ceremony will take place early afternoon.

In light of the upcoming national triathlon championships in Echternach and Remich the FLTRI would like to remind licensed athletes and affiliated clubs of the process:
Athletes must wear / bring their club uniform to the check-in. They have to ensure they are controlled by a FLTRI referee. The referee takes a photo of the athlete with the uniform. The athlete must sign the „presence sheet“ available at the check-in.
Only club uniforms that are validated and visible in the current „catalogue des uniformes“ are accepted if an athlete wants to be classified for the championship. The catalogue is available at:
