Beautiful to see… but they don’t belong here. 🦁🐠⚠️

The Lionfish is without a doubt one of the most spectacular fish you can encounter underwater. Elegant, fascinating and incredibly photogenic… but unfortunately also highly invasive.

Originally from the Indo-Pacific, lionfish have been spreading rapidly throughout the Mediterranean Sea.

And today, during just one dive in Santa Maria di Leuca, we spotted THREE of them. 😳

An amazing encounter from a photographer’s point of view, but definitely worrying for the Mediterranean ecosystem. Lionfish have very few natural predators here, reproduce quickly and prey on native fish and crustaceans.

📸 Amazing to photograph.
⚠️ But definitely not good news.

The Mediterranean is changing right in front of our eyes — and as divers, we have a front-row seat to witness it. 🌊

Bringing Ocean Reef to Luxembourg 🇱🇺
Today I took this beauty for a test dive in the pool — the new Neptune III, and I have to say… first impressions are really promising.
Comfort, visibility, communication, and that full-face diving feeling all in one. Can’t wait to put it in open water soon.
