Where it all began for Lithuania at the Homeless World Cup 🇱🇹
In 2006 Stasys Pranevičius and a team from Lithuania struggling with alcohol addiction attended a football tournament in St Petersburg. Seen by the Homeless World Cup, they were invited to represent Lithuania at the Cape Town 2006 Homeless World Cup
"That year we were all alcoholics – one hundred percent. Today it’s 2026. Every one of us is still alive, and not a single one has relapsed. All these people, to this day, are alive and sober."
