𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝑰𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒆
𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱
The players, fans, coaches, stakeholders, and leadership of the Duport Road Sub-Committee strongly condemn last Tuesday's lawful, unscrupulous and barbaric attack on the Liberia Football Association (LFA) headquarter by hooligans believed to be members of the University of Liberia Student Unification Party (SUP).
The subcommittee categorically condemns the act in the strongest term and consider such action as counterproductive especially when it is coming from people who should know better considering their exposure and level of education (University Students).
We wish to re-emphasized that violence has no place in our society, and we must stand united in denouncing such behavior. The attack on the Liberia Football Association, a place of sportsmanship, work, or public service, is not only an assault on those directly involved but also an attack on the values that our country hold dear-values of safety, respect, love and peaceful coexistence.
We call on the Liberia National Police to take swift action to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice. It is in times like these that we must reaffirm our collective commitment to peace, empathy, and the protection of all individuals, regardless of background or belief.
Together, we will heal, rebuild, and ensure that such an atrocity is never repeated.
