Amazing FC Close Gap on League Leaders After Dominant Victory Over Eagles FC
Amazing FC delivered another strong statement in the 2025/26 Paynesville Subcommittee Third Division League with an impressive 4-2 away victory over Eagles FC in Round 15 action played today at Barker Fence in the Soul Clinic Community, Paynesville City.
Coming into the encounter with revenge on their minds following a 2-1 first-leg defeat at home to Eagles FC earlier in the season, Amazing FC showed determination, quality and character from the opening whistle to secure a deserved victory in one of the biggest matches of the round.
The visitors started brightly and took an early lead through Hilary Sulonkpala in the 3rd minute, setting the tone for an entertaining afternoon. Eagles FC responded well and found the equalizer in the 24th minute to bring the game level, but Amazing FC refused to slow down. The victory also keeps Amazing FC firmly in the title race as they currently sit 2nd on the league table, just one point behind league leaders Todd FC, who have 33 points from the same number of games played.
