Since 2018, Olith has been dedicated to supporting educational programs and community development in Arugam Bay. While he is no longer working with the INGO Cointree as of 2025, his commitment to the local community continues through Surf Soul.

Surf Soul now funds the education of over 35 children with the help of three teachers, contributing a small percentage of its business revenue to this initiative. When you surf with Surf Soul, a portion of your payment directly supports these children’s education. Additionally, if you’re interested in volunteering, Surf Soul welcomes visitors to its free education center, offering a chance to meet the kids and explore their village firsthand.

In Arugam Bay, we are fortunate to have more than 12 surf points, including some hidden secret spots. Today, Surf Soul is taking a closer look at the iconic Main Point, sharing insights from our own experience.

Main Point is a classic reef break with three distinct peak levels, making it ideal for intermediate and professional surfers. Beginners are advised to explore other surf spots better suited to their skill level.

The best conditions at Main Point are usually in the early morning, from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM, when the winds are calm, and the waves are at their finest.
