M. G. E. L. Jayathissa of the Faculty of Science, University of Peradeniya, explodes through the Women’s 800m at Freshers’ Meet 2026 and storms into history with a blazing record time of 2 minutes and 38 seconds. 🏃🏻‍♀️

From the very first stride, she set the pace, held her ground and powered through every metre with unstoppable rhythm and fierce determination, leaving the competition behind and the crowd in awe.✨
