Four Panadura Sports Club Players Represent Sri Lanka at Women’s Asia Cup 2026
Panadura Sports Club proudly celebrates a significant achievement as four of its talented women cricketers Nilakshi de Silva, Sugandika Dassanayake, Chethana Vimukthi, and Mithali Ayodhya earned the honour of representing Sri Lanka at the Women’s Asia Cup 2026.
Their selection to the national squad marks a proud moment for Panadura Sports Club and reflects the club’s continued commitment to developing women’s cricket and producing players capable of performing on the international stage.
Among the four players, Chethana Vimukthi made her international debut during the tournament and made an immediate impact. In her debut appearance, she produced an impressive bowling performance, claiming three wickets and earning the Player of the Match award. Her outstanding debut was a memorable moment for both the player and Panadura Sports Club.
Mithali Ayodhya also delivered a strong performance with the ball, taking three wickets and making a valuable contribution to Sri Lanka’s campaign. Her disciplined bowling demonstrated her ability to perform at the highest level.
Meanwhile Sugandika Dassnayake contributed with two wickets playing an important role in Sri Lanka’s bowling attack. Her experience and consistency continued to provide valuable support to the national team.
Captain and experienced all-rounder Nilakshi de Silva ks also part of the Sri Lankan squad, adding valuable experience and leadership to the team.
