One of the international participant of Strangers 2018 shared her exciting adventure experience with us.

The early morning rush to the โTHE UNIVERSITY OF JAYEWARDENEPURAโ was our start of the day. As you enter the university it was very obvious there was a huge happening in the campus. The sight of young girls with perfectly groomed hair and bright formal shirts added to the look of the event . The huge ground area with lengthy queues , recording cameras lined up announcements were absolutely happening.
Bags were packed,buses were lined, selfies were clicked, students were grouped! The hunt began. The first task was the jack fruit selling task that made us go crazy like hell. We literally did was thinking out of the boxes, ways to convince people , wiring them up with interesting talks and pushing them in the web to buy the fruit. Almost everyone laughed at me for the prices I sold jackfruit at .
The task to paste the pictures went well. The money collection was another task that we had to bring our skills back to. God knows how we managed to sound very intellectual to people we were talking to, while the teammates kept bullying each other.
The craziest part of the first day was the chase to police station . Where else in this world can I just run all the way through the roads like a crazy punk. WOAHโฆ.! The walks filled with laughters , gossips, funny thoughts maling it to cherish. The final task of releasing the person from jail had a hilarious story again. The entire cabin laughing at our replies and, repeated failed attempts of answering to the questions needed a mention too! Anyways we did it ! Before the poor prisoner could loose his hopes !

The squad stepped down the bus and the walk in the dark night with bag packs and torches on seemed to be more adventurous in the woods.
8:00AM
The morning everyone was back to the buses-little tired faces, yet ready to go faces.
All the faces were brightened up once we were at destination- The sugar cane field.
Get,set,go!..The hunt began for the ACER cards. Running through the fields ,searching for the cards messing up with the route in the field was extremely joyful part. While winners searched for the cards we searched for the ripen sugar cane and had a sugar cane feast. Yes! Loosers will have more fun.
The next ride was to UDAWALAWA wild life sanctuary. It was an one hour ride with a wild bliss. when I said it a wild safari the sun kiss was wild, breeze was wilder and the wild was the wildest .
This was proceeded with a mud bucket challenge! It was indeed challenging. This was followed by kaiking in a still water lake which I claimed to be amazing for it was a momentarily bliss breathing in the smell of the water ,gazing at the sun set and the reflectinons. Fishing was another task that kept the evening happening as it gave a vintage touch to our lives for that day.
Day had not ended yet it had a shade of camping where we had to build our own tents using strategies and strength we tried inspite of being tired. The whole scene had the team spirits high helping each other working on things and being together.
The nightfire and the barbeque ended the day.

Stepping down the bus to see the most beautiful sea views . The very well crafted board greeted us "WELCOME STRANGERS". This caught our attention so much inspite of the beautiful sea.
The series of games started with
1. pole walk - walking on the log while waves hit the shore.
2.Ground crawl - Crawling on the sea sand with obstruction net , while the salt water flashes on your face and yuh get to taste the sea water.
3.Basket ball- who gets the chance to compete and chill at the same time in the waves with the ball. Definitely not even the Olympic players ! Look ! How lucky we were.
4. Castle building - The dreams that we're left behind and we're never bothered to look at. This was a chance for us to cherish the kid we still are . Indeed it took us back to our childhood
5. Fish Barbeque- Yuh turn into chef now. It makes yuh feel as if all those anime and the interesting life in stories coming true
6. Sea rafting- Staying in tune to harsh waves and trying to balance the smooth waves is called an art for a reason. It was thrilling enough for our veins.
7. kabaddi - I was familiar with it in India but playing with foreigners is a must needed experience. It was filled with laughter's and blunders ! yet we enjoyed the game.
Setting off to the hotel for the award ceremony with amazing delicacies and kick ass music . Dancing to the beats and the turning to the tune of the rhythm , tapping the toes and clapping the hands till the the legs got dead and the energy was over .
woah ! what an experience !
Appreciation for the ideology and the strategies entire team as a whole carried need better words. Hats off team . Yuh were amazing โฃ
