වර්ෂ 1942 දී දෙවන ලෝක සංග්‍රාමය හමුවේ මධ්‍යම රජය විසින් තාවකාලිකව අත්පත් කරගත් මලියදේව විද්‍යාල භූමියෙන් වෙන් වී ඇත්කඳ රජමහා විහාරයේ ස්ථාපිත කළ මලියදේව මිශ්‍ර පාසල පසුව කුරුණෑගල තරුණ බෞද්ධ සංගමයේ යෝජනා සම්මතයක් මගින් කොටස් දෙකකට වෙන් වී 1946 වර්ෂයේ කොළඹ පාරේ දී සිසුවියන් 69 දෙනෙකුගෙන් යුතුව හිටපු අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය ශ්‍රිමත් ජෝන් කොතලාවල මැතිතුමාගේ ද මලියදේව විද්‍යාලාධීපති වූ යූ.බී වන්නිනායක මහතාගේ හා පී ද එස් කුලරත්න කළමණාකාරතුමා ඇතුළු බොහෝ පිරිසකගේ අප්‍රතිහද ධෛර්යෙන් පාඨශාලා පරික්ෂිකා සී.ඊ.වී ප්‍රනාන්දු මැතිනිය පළමු විදුහල්පතිතුමිය වෙමින් උතුම් මලියදේවයෙන් පන්නරය ලද “ආණ්ඩුවේ ජ්‍යේෂ්ඨ බාලිකා පාසල” හෙවත් මලියදේව බාලිකා විද්‍යාලය “හොම්ලි ගෘහය”නම් භූමියේ අදවන් දිනක ස්ථාපනය විය.

ඔබ තවත් සහස්‍රාධික කාලක් වැජඹේවා යි මලිදෙව් ප්‍රජාව ප්‍රාර්ථනා කර සිටිනවා...!
