The defending champions produced a dominant all-round display to register a commanding victory in a rain-affected encounter.

With the match reduced to 17 overs per side, Colombo Super Kings batted first and unleashed a batting masterclass, piling up an imposing 190/3 in 17 overs.

Facing a revised DLS target of 196, the Jaffna Healers struggled against a disciplined Colombo attack and were bowled out for 91 in 15.1 overs.

🔥 Jaffna Healers vs Kandy Knights 🔥

A rain-affected opening clash provided plenty of excitement as the match was interrupted during the Kandy Knights’ chase, reducing their innings to 13 overs.

🪙 Kandy Knights won the toss and elected to field first.

💥 Batting first, Jaffna Healers posted a commanding 155/6 in 15 overs, setting a challenging target.

Rain then intervened during the chase, and Kandy Knights’ innings was revised to 13 overs. Despite a spirited effort, they finished on 96/6 in 13 overs.

🏆 Jaffna Healers secured a 47-run victory via the DLS Method, making a winning start to their DCL 2026 campaign.

The Jaffna Healers are all set to participate in the Annual Doctors’ Cricket Encounter, which will be held in Anuradhapura.

Leading the team is Rajiv Nirmalasingham, an outstanding cricketer and the upcoming captain of Sri Lanka’s National Over-40 Cricket Team. His leadership, experience, and passion for the game will undoubtedly inspire the team as they take the field.
