It is with immense pleasure that we announce the appointment of Sandas Usgodaarachchi , the 2025 Tennis Captain of Ananda College, as the Senior Supervisor of the newly appointed Senior Executive Board of the Prefects' Guild of Ananda College.

A multiple-time National Champion, Triple Crown winner across the country's premier tournaments, and a proud member of the Sri Lanka Davis Cup Team, Apna's achievements reflect years of discipline, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the game.

As he once again earns the honour of representing Sri Lanka at the Davis Cup 2026, the entire Ananda College stands proudly behind one of our finest sportsmen.

Carrying the Anandian Legacy onto the National University Stage

We are proud to celebrate these past Anandian tennis players who once represented Ananda College with distinction are now set to compete at the Inter-University Games 2026, taking place from 26th to 29th July at the Army Tennis Courts.

Representing their respective universities are Sayuru Pathirana and Inuka Algama (University of Sri Jayewardenepura), Nelaka Dissanayake and Thushan Senanayake (University of Peradeniya), Hasal Ahangama – Former School Tennis Captain 2023, Pasindu Bandara – Former School Tennis Captain 2021, and Kushan Silva (University of Kelaniya), alongside Anupama Hettiarachchi (University of Sri Jayewardenepura).

Your journey from school tennis to the university arena is a testament to your dedication, perseverance, and love for the sport. The entire Anandian tennis family wishes you the very best as you carry forward the legacy of Anandian tennis on a bigger stage. Victory at the Nationals 2025!

Our Ananda Tennis family made their mark at the Sri Lanka National Tennis Championships 2025, with champions on court and leaders off court!

Apna Perera – Men’s Singles Champion & Men’s Doubles Champion
Damsath Peiris – Under 14 Singles & Doubles Champion
Yonal Dankumbura – Under 12 Doubles Champion
Sandas Usgoda Arachchi & Lithum Jayabandu – Under 18 Doubles Runner-up

Chamod Rupassara – Served as a Referee at the Nationals
Pasindu Bandara – Served as Tournament Director

From our rising juniors to our champion seniors, and even our old Anandians leading as officials, this year’s Nationals truly highlighted the all-round excellence of Ananda Tennis.

Congratulations to all who carried the Ananda name with pride and distinction on and off the court!

Yonal Dankumbura from Ananda College proudly represents Sri Lanka at the U12 South Asia Final Qualifying Tournament, held in Singapore from August 25th to 29th. Wishing him the very best as he carries the nation’s hopes and Ananda’s pride onto the international stage!

Ananda College Tennis Team crowned as the "Best Tennis Playing School" in Sri Lanka.

Ananda College Tennis Team showcased an outstanding performance at the All Island Inter-School Tennis Championship 2025, marked by brilliance, dedication, and true sportsmanship across all age categories.

In Division 1, the team emerged Champions in Under 15 and Under 17, secured the Runner-up title in Under 13, and became 2nd Runner-up in the Under 19 category.
In Division 2, we claimed the Bowl Category Championship in Under 15, became Plate Category Runner-up in Under 17, and reached the Cup Category Semi-Finals in Under 13.

Crowning this remarkable achievement, Ananda College was proudly awarded the "Division 1 Boys Overall Tennis Championship" and the prestigious title of "Best Boys Tennis Playing School in Sri Lanka" for the 4th consecutive year.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the entire team for etching this historic feat in Ananda’s sporting legacy. May the blessings of Mother Ananda continue to guide and inspire them.
