SLASU NOVICES 2019 - 3rd Overall (STC)

Congratulations to the S.Thomas' college Novices swim team that did extremely well to be placed 3rd overall with 65.5 points. It is worth noting that a total of 19 swimmers qualified during this meet. The meet was won by Sri Lanka Navy with 140 points.

82ND ANNUAL 2 MILE SEA SWIM (Under 15 Category) concluded this morning - 225 swimmers participated. Thomian Junior Swimmers placed as below,

Nikesh Peiris - 90th
D.C De Mel - 108th
M.H Sennanayake - 156th
T.N.E Weinman - 161st

The senior category will be held tomorrow Sunday 3rd and a total of 22 swimmers will take part from STC.

The Annual Sri Lanka Schools Novices Swimming championships 2019 concluded this evening and the Thomian swim team did extremely well to be placed 4th overall with 66 points. STC also managed to win the under 20 category.

Congratulations to our former Head Prefect and Water-Polo captain Ashane Francis who wins the ANDO Momofuku Award at the Asia Pacific University in Japan. Ashane is the first Thomian to win this prestigious award at APU. This award is the highest honor available to students at APU and awarded to students with outstanding academic records,are of good character, and have played a leading role in various activities.

Mix fortunes for the Thomian junior water polo team as they were defeated by the state of Melaka 14-9 and came out victorious against the state of Perak 13-8 on the 1st Day of play at the 60th Milo Malaysian Open Water-Polo tournament Junior Category.

The college Junior Under-15 Water-Polo team took flight and will be participate at the upcoming 60th MILO/PRAM MALAYSIA OPEN WATER-POLO CHAMPIONSHIPS to be held at the Aquatic Stadium Tuanku Zara in Ipoh, Perak this weekend. The college Junior team has had a great run this season winning all of their games including a record breaking win at this years Royal-Thomian. The team coach Dhanushka Saram was very confident and expects his team to continue its success in Malaysia.

S.Thomas' College swimming secured the Senior Under 19 championship category at the Public Schools Swimming meet 2018 held at Sugathadasa Stadium defeating St.Joseph's College & Royal College who were placed 2nd & 3rd respectively. The meet concluded its 2nd Day with S.Thomas' College overall standing at 5th Place.
