Losing a game, even a is not the end of the world not even the end of a career.

Today, and after more than winning 10 consecutive games in the last 4 championships conducted by the Lebanese Paralympic committee , we lost our final game, to get second place in this championship.

Despite the hard accompanying the loss, I am proud to say that every player on my team did his best in this game, but, unfortunately, it didn’t end as we expected.

The big winners today are the players from both teams who demonstrated professional skills and high discipline. To those heroes, I want to express my respect and I wish the best for you.

As a , I learned a lot from every single second I spent with my team, during the sessions and more from the competitions.

To my players, and for all your and , I swear that I will do my best to raise our team and keep on giving every one of you what can make him better.

Finally, I want to thank the Lebanese Paralympic Committee Chef .amil for the hard work and the distinct organization, my assistant , and a big thanks to my who spent a lot of time supporting me and the team.

حققت جمعية طرابلس لرياضة المعوقين إنجازات مميزة في موسم ٢٠٢٤، حيث حصدت المركز الأول في بطولة لبنان والمركز الأول في كأس لبنان. كما أبدع ممثلو طرابلس في بطولة ٣*٣ لكرة السلة على الكراسي المتحركة، محققين المركزين الأول والثاني، مما يبرز تفوقهم الكبير وسيطرتهم على الساحة الرياضية في هذا المجال. ويعد الفريق الوحيد في طرابلس الذي حقق هذه الإنجازات، ومثّل الشمال بقوة، مما يعكس التفاني والجهود الكبيرة التي يبذلها في رفع مستوى رياضة المعوقين وتعزيز حضورها على المستوى الوطني🇱🇧

Over the last months, I had the opportunity to train the . It was a great where I learned a lot from the guys I was working with. Playing the 2024 Lebanese organized by the was our first and my first with the team.

Current research indicates that resistance training can be a safe, effective and worthwhile activity for children and adolescents provided that qualified professionals supervise all training sessions and provide age-appropriate instruction on proper lifting procedures and safe training guidelines.



Regular participation in a multifaceted resistance training program that begins during the preseason and includes instruction on movement biomechanics may reduce the risk of sports-related injuries in young athletes.



Research findings suggest that a majority of resistance training-related injuries in children and adolescents are the result of accidents, improper exercise technique or lack of qualified supervision.



The risk of musculoskeletal injury resulting from age-appropriate resistance training, weightlifting and plyometrics does not appear to be any greater than other sports and recreational activities in which children and adolescents regularly participate.

After years of research, it is now accepted that children and adolescents can increase strength with low injury rates if resistance training is well supervised with an emphasis on correct technique. Early studies successfully demonstrated significant strength gains in children and a lack of injury with proper technique and supervision.

Numerous studies have shown that children and adolescents can gain strength with resistance-training programs involving technique-driven progression along with qualified supervision and instruction.

Injury rates in youth resistance training settings that adhere to qualified supervision and proper technique are lower than those occurring in other sports or general recess play at school. On the basis of years of research in this area, there is less concern for injury from supervised, well-designed, and technique-driven resistance training and more concern for injuries that occur because of poor supervision, an inappropriate progression of training loads, or low strength reserves in youth who are not prepared for the demands of sports practice and competition.

Resistance training has more of a place in injury reduction than in the cause of injury.

Appropriately designed resistance training programs have no apparent negative effect on linear growth, physeal health, or the cardiovascular system. Explosive contractions of the muscle-tendon attachment at apophyseal areas during active play, sports, or lifting weights may increase the risk of avulsion fracture until closer to skeletal maturity. Resistance training safety is enhanced when teachers, coaches, and instructors ensure a safe training environment and use developmentally appropriate teaching strategies, focus on enhancing resistance training skill competency, and have an appropriate instructor/participant ratio. This ratio can vary on the basis of the expertise of the instructor, program design, and training age and resistance training skill competency of participants.
