Why Japanese Jujitsu looks different on the ground... 🥋
In sport grappling, the goal is often points or submissions within a specific rule set. But in traditional Japanese Jujitsu, the core philosophy is 100% realistic self-defense.
When a fight goes to the ground, reality isn't a controlled match:
💥 We strike, elbow, and control distance because real-world defense requires immediate neutralization.
💥 We hit vulnerable targets (like groin strikes or short-range elbows) to create openings and disable threats quickly.
💥 We don’t stay down to roll—we work ground control to finish, disengage, and stand back up.
In true self-defense, safety and survival are the priority. Every strike, elbow, and control position you see in this video has one purpose: preparing for real-life protection without boundaries.
