Kicking with your dominant leg feels great, but why is the other side so much harder? 🥋🤔

If you feel like you have a "good leg" and a "bad leg," you aren't alone. Most athletes face this because:

Neuromuscular Dominance: Your brain is naturally more efficient at sending signals to one side of your body.
Support Leg Strength: Often, the "weak" leg isn't the problem—it’s actually the strong leg’s inability to support your weight and balance while the weak leg kicks!
Training Habits: We often start drills with our favorite side, meaning it gets the most energy and focus every single session.
If you don't address this balance, it limits your combinations and makes you predictable in the ring. It’s time to eliminate that "weak side" for good. 💥

6 Ways to Master the Spinning Hook Kick 🌪️

Stop throwing the exact same spinning hook kick every single time! 🌪️ Martial artists who master variations become completely unpredictable.

In this video, we break down 6 distinct ways to execute the Spinning Hook Kick (Dwi Huryeo Chagi)—from basic counter setups to advanced deception traps.

🥋 Coaching Breakdown: Attack vs. Defense
1.Basic Spinning Hook Kick

Best For: Direct Attack. Use it when your opponent freezes or drops their guard after you set up with low kicks or hand combinations.

2.Step Back → Spinning Hook Kick

Best For: Counter-Defense. As your opponent lunges forward to attack, take a quick diagonal step back to clear distance, then whip the heel into their open side.

3.Knee Jump → Spinning Hook Kick

Best For: Aggressive Attack / Offense. Driving the lead knee up tricks your opponent into blocking low or expecting a flying front kick before you rotate for head contact.

4.Step In → Spinning Hook Kick

Best For: Closing Distance (Blitz Attack). Perfect against fighters who like to maintain a long distance or drift backward away from your standard range.

5.Jumping Spinning Hook Kick (In Place)

Best For: Blitz Counter. When an opponent rushes into close quarters, jumping in place clears ground level and lets you drop the kick over their top guard.

6.360 Spinning Feint → Spinning Hook Kick

Best For: Advanced Deception / High-Level Attack. Bait their primary defense with a full spin feint, force them to freeze, and snap the kick home on the second rotation.
