🇺🇲 It was a great honor to be invited to the celebration marking the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France.

For 140 years, Korea and France have built a remarkable friendship through cultural exchange, artistic collaboration, and mutual respect across many fields, including sports.

Football has a unique ability to bring people together beyond language, borders, and backgrounds. I believe sport serves as a powerful bridge that inspires future generations with the values of teamwork, respect, and ambition.

Like sport, art has the power to connect people, foster understanding, and create lasting bonds between cultures. Together, they play an important role in strengthening friendship and shaping a brighter future.

I am grateful to have been part of this meaningful occasion and look forward to seeing the friendship and cooperation between Korea and France continue to grow for many years to come.

🇮🇹 Festa Della Repubblica 🇮🇹

🇰🇷 6월 2일, 이탈리아 공화국 기념일(Festa della Repubblica)을 맞아 서울칼초의 마테오 코치가 주한 이탈리아 대사관저에서 열린 공식 기념행사에 참석했습니다.

이날 행사에서는 주한 이탈리아 대사님, 성평등가족부 장관님을 비롯한 각계 주요 인사 및 귀빈들과 함께 이탈리아 공화국 기념일을 축하하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌습니다.

또한 서울칼초를 소개하고 한국과 이탈리아를 잇는 스포츠·문화 교류의 가치를 나누는 소중한 기회가 되었습니다. 앞으로도 서울칼초는 축구를 통해 양국의 우정과 협력을 더욱 발전시키는 데 기여하겠습니다.

🇬🇧 On June 2, celebrating Italy’s Republic Day (Festa della Repubblica), Seoul Calcio Coach Matteo attended the official reception held at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador in Seoul.

The event brought together the Italian Ambassador, the Minister of Gender Equality and Family, distinguished guests, and representatives from various sectors to commemorate this important national occasion.

It was also a valuable opportunity to introduce Seoul Calcio and share our vision of strengthening cultural and sporting ties between Korea and Italy. Through football, Seoul Calcio will continue to contribute to the friendship and cooperation between our two countries.

이번 만남은 단순한 교류를 넘어, 스포츠가 국가 간 관계를 어떻게 연결하고 확장할 수 있는지에 대한 깊이 있는 대화를 나누는 중요한 기회였습니다.

Today, the world of sport says goodbye to Alex Zanardi.
A champion, a fighter, and above all a symbol of resilience, courage, and the will to never give up.
His story went far beyond racing, medals, and victories. Alex showed the world that sport is not only about winning, but about standing up again, facing adversity, and continuing to inspire others through strength, dignity, and passion.
For Seoul Calcio F.C., his legacy is a reminder of what sport should teach every player:
to fight through difficulties, to believe in yourself, and to keep moving forward even when life becomes harder than any match.

🇰🇷오늘 서울칼초FC의 마테오 코치는 KSPO 국민체육진흥공단의 초대로 「영광의 기억, 이어지는 유산」Memories of Glory, Enduring Legacy 이탈리아 대사관과 함께하는 서울올림픽 조각공원 투어에 참석했습니다.

이번 자리에는 에밀리아 가토 주한 이탈리아 대사님, 빈첸조 타마린도 경제참사관님, 다비데 스칼마니 이탈리아문화원장님을 비롯해 KSPO 하형주 이사장님, 박용철 전무이사님, 성욱제 본부장님, 한국체육대학교 문원재 총장님 등 많은 귀빈들이 함께했습니다. 회의장에서는 스포츠의 가치, 이탈리아와 한국 간의 스포츠 외교, 그리고 앞으로의 협력 가능성에 대해 뜻깊은 대화를 나누었습니다.

🇬🇧Today, Seoul Calcio F.C.’s Head Coach Matteo Cerica had the honor of attending “Memories of Glory, Enduring Legacy”, a special tour of the Seoul Olympic Sculpture Park, organized by KSPO (Korea Sports Promotion Foundation) in collaboration with the Italian Embassy.

The event was attended by distinguished guests including Ambassador Emilia Gatto, Economic Counselor Vincenzo Tamarindo, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute Davide Scalmani, as well as KSPO President Ha Hyung-joo, Executive Director Park Yong-cheol, Director Seong Uk-je, and President of Korea National Sport University Moon Won-jae. During the meeting, participants engaged in meaningful discussions on the value of sport, sports diplomacy between Italy and Korea, and future opportunities for collaboration.

Representing Seoul Calcio F.C. as the Italian football team in Korea, Coach Matteo Cerica presented the club’s vision—developing football and sports culture through its men’s team, women’s team, and football school—while exploring future cooperation with the Korean sports community. This event marked an important step in strengthening connections between Seoul Calcio F.C. and the Korean sports landscape, opening the door to new collaborations and future initiatives.

서울칼초FC의 대표이자 감독인 마테오 코치가 2025년 ITCCK 갈라 디너에 참석했습니다. 에밀리아 가토 대사님의 따뜻한 환영사와 함께, 서울칼초FC와 마테오 코치를 직접 소개해 주시는 큰 영광도 있었습니다.

이번 갈라에서는 이탈리아 주요 인사들뿐만 아니라 한국의 다양한 분야 리더들과도 의미 있는 교류를 나누며 뜻깊은 시간을 보냈습니다. 앞으로도 이탈리아 스포츠·축구 발전과 한–이탈리아 스포츠 외교 강화를 위해 더욱 힘쓰겠습니다. 🤗

Coach Mateo, the president and head coach of Seoul Calcio FC, attended the 2025 ITCCK Gala Dinner. It was a great honor to be introduced by Ambassador Emilia Gatto during her warm welcoming speech.

The gala offered a meaningful opportunity to connect not only with distinguished Italian guests but also with many leaders from Korea.

✨ Historic First Victory for Seoul Calcio F.C. ✨

In a hard-fought but fair game, we earned our very first win in club history against Project Ball F.C. 💪⚽ Compliments to our opponents, who fought with intensity and fair play throughout the match—true sporting spirit. 👏

What made the difference today was not only talent, but teamwork. From the strikers to the goalkeeper, and even those who came off the bench, everyone played with focus and gave their contribution—especially in defense, where we showed real discipline and unity.

This victory brings energy and morale, but it’s also a reminder: without hard work in training, results don’t come. From Wednesday, it’s back to the pitch to keep pushing forward. 🔵🇮🇹

🙏 Special thanks to Yong Jin , who stepped up as our goalkeeper for the day even though he’s a striker—true team spirit!
💙 And a heartfelt shoutout to our physiotherapist Mariano , future groom 💍, whose professionalism and passion help our players recover and perform safely week after week. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
