Thai soldiers used multiple MK-82 bombs (weighing approximately 230 kg) along with all types of shells, especially 155 mm shells with cluster bombs, in an attempt to destroy the Preah Vihear temple, a world heritage site. This was according to Mr. Heng Ratana, Director General of the Cambodia Mine Action Center (CMAC).
