The Rift Valley Event is scheduled for the weekend of November 19,20 & 21 to be held at the ASTU HQ in Gilgil. Planning is in the early stages!

Hello Everyone!



Hope that you are all keeping well, and so too all your respective families – human and animal.

With the extension of the C19 restrictions on us all, the Soysambu Event will not be feasible this year. I am sure this is of no surprise to any of you, but of course it’s a disappointment none the less.

We look forward to Soysambu Event 2021, and hosting you all there.

Sadly we have had to cancel our Eventing team of Megan, Chyulu, Keren and Aisha from going to Zimbabwe. Out of our control and we know how much fun it would have been for them. The Zimbabwean organizers had threatened to put on a "Once-in-a-lifetime" event and we appreciate the huge effort they have already gone to.

WELCOME TO JEREMY SPRING

Jeremy Spring is here this week courtesy of Monica Campori to hold a 3-day clinic for eventers.
Jeremy is now a freelance trainer in Norway, teaching Eventers, Show Jumpers, Dressage riders and horses and comes with impressive credentials including being in the top 10 British Eventers shortlisted for 5 Olympics between 1984-2000. He gave up competition to focus on teaching in 2003.

Eventers:- he is the trainer of the current Norwegian Pony and Senior Eventing Champions.
Dressage:-Coaching riders and horses from lower levels to National Champions and up to Grand Prix.
Winners at all levels up to Intermediate 2 level. Currently training young Small Tour horses working towards Big Tour. These riders have won nationally at Prix St George, Intermediate 1 &2, and high placings in Grand Prix.

Jeremy is now considered a regular here and we look forward to having him to give our eventing talents a boost!

TEAM KENYA has had it all - elimination (🤬), lameness (😖), fall (🤕) and win (🥳🏆🥇)!!! Spanna had a bad fall today in the warm up arena but still managed to complete her showjumping with a clear round...and then went to hospital to have her concussion checked. Super brave girl. Rachel did it for Kenya 🇰🇪 and won the overall spot. It has been a ‘levelling’ weekend - but we return tomorrow wiser and stronger for next time. We are all proud of what we achieved and have proved that we are UP THERE with the best in Africa. Well done TEAM KENYA.
