KWALE COUNTY TEACHERS SPORTS LEAGUE 2026 – ROUND 3!
The Kwale County Teachers Sports League 2026 successfully held its Round 3 edition on Saturday, 13th June 2026, at Mwereni Senior School in Lunga Lunga Sub-County. The event brought together teachers from across Kwale County, ranging from ECDE, Primary, Junior School, Secondary School, and Teacher Training Colleges, for a day of sports, wellness, networking, and recreation.
Participants competed in various disciplines including football, basketball, volleyball, netball, table tennis, chess, draughts, and scrabble. The event provided a unique platform for teachers to engage in physical activity, strengthen professional relationships, and promote healthy lifestyles.
A major highlight of the day was the partnership with Sambasports Youth Trust which conducted mental health awareness and wellness sessions aimed at promoting emotional well-being among educators. The sessions were well received and reinforced the importance of prioritizing teachers' mental health.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to Kinondo Kwetu Hospital for providing first aid services and a standby ambulance throughout the event, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
The league was honored by the presence of Hon. Chiforomodo Mangale Munga, Member of Parliament for Lunga Lunga Constituency and a fellow teacher, who graced the occasion and commended the initiative for promoting wellness among educators.
The organizing committee thanks all teachers, partners, sponsors, officials, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the event. The growing participation in the Teachers Sports League demonstrates the value of sports and wellness programs in enhancing teachers' productivity, morale, and overall well-being.
