Today, NALFA CBO visited Gendro Comprehensive School where we were warmly welcomed by the Headteacher, Mr. Nelson Akoth. We sincerely appreciate the school's administration and students for the warm reception and the opportunity to engage with the learners.
During the visit, the NALFA CBO team held an interactive session with the students focusing on menstrual hygiene management. The discussion aimed at educating and empowering girls with the knowledge and confidence to manage their menstrual health with dignity. We also encouraged open conversations so that both girls and boys understand the importance of supporting a healthy and respectful school environment.
As part of our support to the students, NALFA CBO donated sanitary pads and soap to help promote proper hygiene and ensure that girls can comfortably continue attending school during their menstrual periods.
The students participated actively, asked questions, and showed great enthusiasm during the session. It was truly encouraging to see their interest in learning about health and personal hygiene.
NALFA CBO remains committed to supporting children and communities through health education, mentorship, and essential support programs.
Together, we continue empowering young minds for a healthier and brighter future.

Today was a truly impactful and heartwarming day as NALFAS carried out a donation of sanitary pads at Awelo JSS.
We believe that no girl should miss school because of her period. Through this initiative, we are helping to restore confidence, protect dignity, and support uninterrupted learning for the young girls of Awelo JSS.
This donation is more than just providing sanitary pads it is about empowering girls, breaking stigma around menstruation, and creating a supportive school environment where every child can thrive.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed and made this outreach possible. Together, we are making a difference, one girl at a time.

A bodaboda rider putting on a Nalfa CBO reflector and that’s the kind of responsibility we love to see!
Reflectors are not just accessories; they are lifesavers. They make riders visible at night and during bad weather, helping prevent accidents and protect both the rider and passengers.
Let’s all support and encourage our bodaboda riders to prioritize safety. A simple reflector can make a BIG difference!

Today, NALFA CBO had the privilege of visiting Usula Secondary School, where we donated sanitary pads to Grade 10 students to support menstrual hygiene and help keep girls in school with dignity and confidence.
We were honored to be accompanied by Wakili Ephy Onono, who joined us in engaging the girls in an interactive and empowering session.
During the discussion, we talked about:
• Emotional well-being and building self-confidence
• Sexual and reproductive health basics
• The importance of abstinence and understanding consent
• Managing peer pressure
• Risks of teenage pregnancy
• Basic awareness of sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
The session provided a safe space for the girls to ask questions, share their thoughts, and receive accurate information to help them make informed decisions about their lives and futures.
At NALFA CBO, we believe that empowering a girl with knowledge and dignity is investing in a stronger community.

As we celebrated World Condom Day, NALFA CBO took part in an important community outreach at Governor’s Park during the Valentine’s event organized by Hon. Water Okelo.
World Condom Day reminds us that condoms play a vital role in preventing HIV, other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and unplanned pregnancies. During the event, our team distributed free condoms and educated young people and community members on the importance of safe and responsible sexual health practices.
We engaged participants in open conversations about HIV prevention, testing, and fighting stigma. It was encouraging to see many people eager to learn and take responsibility for their health.
We appreciate Hon. Water Okelo for organizing a vibrant Valentine’s celebration that also created space for health awareness and empowerment.
