Today, NALFA CBO together with Winnie Africa Initiative had the privilege of visiting Ngunya Primary and Junior School in Ugunja for a meaningful community outreach program. The visit focused on engaging with learners and staff on important life topics, including personal hygiene, menstrual health awareness, and the importance of self-confidence and education among young people.
During the session, our team had an interactive talk with the students, encouraging them to prioritize their health, stay focused on their studies, and support one another in creating a positive learning environment. The discussions were aimed at empowering both girls and boys with knowledge that will help them make informed and responsible life choices.
As part of our commitment to promoting dignity and hygiene in schools, we donated sanitary pads to the girls to support menstrual hygiene management and bathing soaps to the boys to encourage proper personal hygiene practices. These small but impactful contributions help ensure that learners can attend school comfortably and confidently.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the administration of Ngunya Primary and Junior School for warmly welcoming us and allowing us to interact with the students. We also appreciate the collaboration with Winnie Africa Initiative, whose partnership made this outreach successful.
NALFA CBO remains committed to supporting community development, empowering young people, and promoting health and education in our communities.
