Governor Sang’s Failures in Nandi County:
Kapsabet (Kandahar) Hospital is a disgrace
– Patients still buy drugs and supplies
– Broken equipment stays broken
– Staff shortages despite big health budgets
– Referral hospital in name, dispensary in reality
Health money questions never get answers
– Repeated concerns about procurement and tenders
– Projects announced but not completed
– No clear public explanation on how health funds are used
Looting allegations hang over the county
– Audit queries and public complaints keep piling up
– Leadership stays silent instead of clearing the air
– Trust between wananchi and county government is broken
Nandi towns look like neglected villages
– Poor drainage, dusty roads, no modern planning
– Kapsabet hasn’t transformed despite being county HQ
– No urban vision after years in office
Roads are still impassable
– Rural access roads remain in bad condition
– Farmers struggle to take produce to market
– Same excuses every year, no results
Youth have been abandoned
– No serious job creation programs
– No functional youth empowerment projects
– Young people only see leaders during campaigns
Farmers feel completely ignored
– Weak support for tea, maize, and dairy farmers
– No value addition or income-boosting initiatives
– County leadership absent when prices drop
Bursaries are unreliable and politicized
– Delays every year
– Too little support for needy students
– No transparent system
Too much politics, zero delivery
– Governor is loud in national politics
– Silent on local service delivery
– Nandi pays the price
No legacy, no impact
– After years in office, there’s nothing bold to point to
– Devolution came, money came, development didn’t
Bottom line:
Nandi was promised transformation. What we got instead is stagnation, unanswered questions, and a county that still looks like it’s stuck in the past.
