Busia Modern Stadium Project Commences.
A technical team from China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) is already on site in Busia, conducting a topographic survey.
The dream for a Modern Stadium is steadily taking shape.
The topographic survey exercise forms part of the preliminary technical assessments that will guide the planning and design of the Stadium.
Last week, Governor H.E Paul Otuoma signed an agreement with the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Defence, Soipan Tuya, for the construction of a 10,000-seater stadium at the Agricultural Training Centre (ATC) at a cost of Ksh 900 million.
Today, the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Defence, Patrick Mariru, swiftly dispatched a team from the Chinese construction firm to commence the necessary groundwork.
Their ongoing survey marks a crucial step toward the realization of the Busia Stadium Project, a collaborative effort between our County Administration and the National Government.
Once complete, the facility will boost sports development, nurture local talent, and provide a modern venue for sporting activities—helping to restore Busia’s proud standing as a hub of sporting excellence and talent.
