The Warriors of the Savannah Karate Camp at Technical University of Kenya (TUK) was a remarkable success. 🥋

Hosted by HDKI-Kenya in partnership with the Kenya Karate Federation, the camp brought together karatekas for a powerful training experience focused on technical excellence, discipline, and growth.

Led by Chief Technical Director, 7th Dan Scott Langley from Scotland, participants engaged in high-level sessions that challenged, inspired, and elevated their practice.

The Federation remains committed to creating such platforms that strengthen skills, build character, and grow the sport across the region.

Kenya will host the Region East Competition from 28th–31st May 2026 at the iconic Nyayo National Stadium.🥳

Athletes, coaches, and officials from 14 African countries will gather for Cadets, Junior and Senior championship.

This milestone event reflects Kenya’s growing strength in karate and its ability to host world-class competitions.
With top officials from WKF and UFAK in attendance, alongside a high-level referee and Coaches training course, the championship promises impact both on and off the tatami.

The KNH Karate Team delivered an outstanding performance at the recently concluded Kenya Open Karate Tournament at the Salvation Army Hall in Thika on Saturday 28th March, 2026 securing an impressive medal tally across various categories.
The team brought home a total of 5 Gold medals, 1 Silver medal, and 9 Bronze medals, highlighting their discipline, resilience, and dedication to excellence.

The Kenya Karate Federation is pleased to invite all qualified and aspiring karate judges, referees, and coaches to participate in a Capacity Building and Refresher Course on the current World Karate Federation (WKF) Rules.
The objective of this course is to enhance the technical knowledge, officiating standards, and coaching competencies of karate practitioners in line with the latest WKF rules and regulations. The training will provide an opportunity for participants to update their understanding of rule interpretations, competition procedures, judging criteria, and coaching best practices.
The course will cover key areas including:
Updates on the current WKF competition rules
Roles and responsibilities of referees and judges
Kata and Kumite judging criteria
Match management and decision-making
Practical officiating sessions and simulations
Coaching alignment with WKF standards
This refresher programme is particularly important for officials and coaches preparing for upcoming national and international competitions, and it will help ensure uniformity and professionalism in the officiating and coaching of karate in Kenya.
