Recently, I had a clarity call with a woman that broke my heart into a thousand pieces.

On the outside, she seemed to have everything going for her. She had a beautiful family, a successful career, and many things that most people would consider a blessing.

But beneath the surface, she was struggling.

She shared alot of things she has been through healthwise and emeotionally and one was that she has been living with fibromyalgia, and my heart immediately sank.

If you've ever known someone living with fibromyalgia, you know it is not "just pain." It can affect every part of a person's life. Some days you wake up feeling as though you have been hit by a truck. Your body aches, your energy is low, and even simple daily activities can feel overwhelming.

What makes it even harder is that many people cannot see the pain.

The conversation left me thinking about how many women over 40 are carrying invisible burdens. They are managing careers, businesses, families, aging parents, relationships, responsibilities, and expectations while silently carrying stress that accumulates over years.

And sometimes that stress shows up in the body.

As we talked, I found myself reflecting on the importance of protecting our peace and managing stress before it begins to affect our health and quality of life.

So today, I want to share five reminders for every woman over 40:

❤️ 1. Choose Yourself

Many women have spent years putting everyone else's needs before their own.

Choosing yourself is not selfish.

It is necessary.

You deserve the same care, attention, and compassion that you freely give to everyone else.

❤️ 2. Learn to Say No

No is a powerful word.

You do not have to attend every event, solve every problem, or carry every burden.

Protect your energy.

Protect your peace.

And don't feel guilty about it.

❤️ 3. Know When to Start, Stop, and Continue

Your body is always communicating with you.

Pay attention.

There are seasons to push forward and seasons to rest.

One of the greatest forms of wisdom is knowing the difference.

❤️ 4. Be Intentional About Fun

As adults, we often schedule meetings, deadlines, and responsibilities.

But when was the last time you scheduled joy?

Laughter, connection, adventure, and play are not luxuries.

They are part of a healthy life.

❤️ 5. Lean on a Higher Power

For me, that means leaning on God.

There is comfort in knowing that we do not have to carry every burden alone.

Sometimes all we need is enough grace for today.

One day at a time.

My prayer for every woman over 40 is that she experiences peace in her mind, strength in her body, and joy in her heart.

That she learns to listen to her body.

That she gives herself permission to rest.

That she protects her peace.

And that she remembers that her health matters too.

Because at the end of the day, your body should be a happy place to live in.

Take care of it. ❤️

Share with a woman over 40 who needs this reminder!

When health is compromised, the scale is not the first victory."

THE SCALE IS NOT OUR FIRST GOAL

Today, I am preparing for a client with:

✔ Hypertension
✔ High cholesterol
✔ Water retention
✔ Acid reflux and GERD
✔ Constipation
✔ Osteoarthritis
✔ Chronic back pain and sciatica
✔ Joint pain and inflammation
✔ Plantar fasciitis
✔ Perimenopause

Many people would look at this list and immediately ask:

"How much weight does she want to lose?"

My question is different.

Can we help her body feel safe enough to heal first?

Before we celebrate kilograms lost, I want to see:

✅ Less inflammation
✅ Reduced pain levels
✅ Better bowel movements
✅ Improved digestion
✅ Reduced acid reflux episodes
✅ Better sleep quality
✅ More energy during the day
✅ Reduced water retention
✅ Improved mobility and walking comfort
✅ Better blood pressure readings
✅ Improved cholesterol markers

Because when the body starts functioning better, weight loss often becomes easier.

Many women over 40 have been taught that the only measure of success is the number on the scale.

But what if:

Your joints hurt less?
You wake up with more energy?
Your clothes fit better?
Your blood pressure improves?
You stop relying on antacids every day?
You can walk without pain?

Those are victories too.

Sometimes the greatest transformation starts long before the scale moves.

As a holistic body transformation coach, my goal is not simply to help women lose weight.

My goal is to help them regain control of their health, energy, confidence, and quality of life.

The weight loss becomes a by-product of that process.

What is one health victory you would celebrate today, even if the scale stayed exactly the same?

Why is belly fat so difficult to lose after 40?

Because most women are doing everything they think they should do.

They're eating less.

Skipping meals.

Cutting carbohydrates.

Working out 5 days a week.

Trying harder.

Pushing through exhaustion.

Sleeping less.

And then wondering why the belly fat refuses to move.

Sound familiar?

The problem is that after 40, these strategies often work against us.

When you're not eating enough:

👉 Your energy drops.

👉 Your cravings increase.

👉 Your motivation becomes harder to sustain.

And when you're constantly pushing your body without enough recovery, your body notices.

Our bodies are incredibly intelligent.

They recognize consistency.

But they also recognize stress.

And many women over 40 are living in a constant state of stress while trying to lose weight.

Career stress.

Family stress.

Financial stress.

Relationship stress.

Then we add dieting stress and exercise stress on top of it.

And we expect our bodies to respond.

The truth is, your body is not trying to frustrate you.

It's trying to protect you.

That's why simply eating less and exercising more is often not the answer.

What should you do instead?

✔ Eat enough to support your body.

✔ Prioritize protein.

✔ Strength train instead of trying to burn calories.

✔ Improve your sleep.

✔ Focus on consistency rather than intensity.

Because after 40, your body responds differently.

And once you understand that, everything starts to make sense.

This is exactly what I'll be teaching my girls

Save this post as a reminder of why you are struggling with belly fat and how to handle that belly fat

My coach didn't listen.

Those were not the exact words she used.

But that's what I heard.

Today, I had a clarity call with a woman in her 50s.

As she shared her experience, I found myself feeling both sad and frustrated on her behalf.

She had been part of a group coaching program where everyone was given the same workout plan.

The same exercises.
The same approach.
The same expectations.

No consideration for her age.
No consideration for her body.
No consideration for her limitations.

And she did what many women do.

She trusted the process.

Even when her back started hurting.
Even when her knees became painful.
Even when her body was clearly telling her something wasn't right.

She kept going.

Because she thought that was what she was supposed to do.

Until one day, the pain became too much.

And as she shared her story, one thought kept running through my mind:

Nobody really listened to her.

Nobody stopped to ask:

👉 How is your body responding?

👉 What's working for you?

👉 What's not working for you?

👉 What adjustments do we need to make?

Because coaching is not just about giving people a plan.

It's about listening.

It's about understanding that every woman comes with a different body, different history, different challenges, and different needs.

And especially after 40, there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

That's why every clarity call I have starts with a notebook and pen.

I listen.

I take notes.

I ask questions.

I pay attention to the things you're saying...

And sometimes the things you're not saying.

Because I believe every woman deserves to be seen, heard, and supported.

Not pushed through a generic program.

Not treated like another number.

But coached as an individual.

So today I'm curious...

Have you ever worked with a coach, trainer, or program that made you feel unheard?

I'd genuinely love to hear your experience.

Happy New Month!

We are stepping into June with about 213 days left in the year.

Half the year is behind us, and if you're being honest, maybe things haven't gone exactly as you planned. Perhaps some goals remain untouched, some dreams delayed, and some promises to yourself left unfulfilled.

You may even feel like you've failed.

But June is a beautiful reminder that your story is not over.

The past six months do not define the next six.

This new month is an open cheque ~a fresh opportunity to begin again, to believe again, and to move forward with renewed purpose.

Write those goals down again.

Find an accountability partner.

Take one small step today.

Extend grace to yourself for the things you didn't accomplish and focus on what you can do now.

That relationship you've been wanting to start ~ or the one you've been needing to let go of.

That business idea you've been carrying in your heart.

That home you've been praying and planning for.

That personal growth you've been postponing.

That health transformation you've been promising yourself.

That joy and peace you've been placing on hold while waiting for the "perfect time."

This is your reminder: the time is now.

Choose yourself.

Believe in yourself.

Embrace yourself.

You don't need perfection to make progress. You only need the courage to start again.

May the second half of this year become your strongest chapter yet~ not because everything goes perfectly, but because you move forward with faith, resilience, grace, and kindness toward yourself.

June is here.

Take the pen.

Write a new chapter

Arsenal Return To Glory ❤️

Wednesday, my house was filled with screams.

My son was shouting uncontrollably and as a mum, i completely freaked out.
I wondered what had happened.

I rushed to him so alarmed, only to find him on the house phone excitedly talking about the win.

Ooooh boy… the relief i felt. 😂

Later, after everything calmed down, he sat me down at 5am to explain exactly what had happened.

Now listen… i am not a football fan at all, but my son is a serious one.

He explained the points, why they mattered, how Arsenal had finally returned to glory after 22 years, and even demonstrated how he would walk into school “chest high and shoulders wide.” 😂

But as he spoke, two things really stayed with me.

First, my son has stayed loyal to Arsenal for as long as i can remember.

Through ridicule.
Through disappointment.
Through losses.
He never once down talked his team.
Not once.

He stayed put.
And eventually, it paid off.

Second, this team unknowingly taught us something powerful:

Patience.
Resilience.
Endurance.
Focus.
Determination.
Prayer.
And never giving up.

Working with women has made me realize something painful…

Many women once had all the above, but somewhere along the way, they gave up on their bodies and health.

They tried for a few months to lose the belly fat.
Tried to lose the weight.
Tried to feel like themselves again.

But when the scale refused to move quickly enough, they gave up.

And in that state of frustration, they slowly accepted a body and health they were deeply unhappy with.

My work as a coach is to help my clients stay the course.

To remain patient.
To stay resilient.
To endure the process.
To focus.
To remain determined.
To seek God for strength.
And most importantly… to never give up on themselves.

Sometimes, this journey becomes easier when you have a coach walking beside you.

In 7 days, i will be holding the Weight Loss After 40 Masterclass for women over 40 who feel stuck in a body that no longer feels like them and honestly have no idea what to do anymore.

I will show you what changes after 40, why your body may feel like it is working against you, and how to make it work with you instead.

“I feel embarrassed,” said a client to me recently.

When I start working with a client, I normally do a 7-day lifestyle preview, and one of the things I carefully look at is their eating habits.

By day 3, I quietly thought to myself,
“Goodness… I can already see the problem.”

And just before I asked her how she was feeling, because I could sense she was becoming overwhelmed by her own reality, and she wrote:

“Janet, I am so embarrassed.”

And right there, I stopped being a coach.

Right there, I became a fellow woman who knew this feeling all too well.

Because sometimes life happens.
Hormones happen.
Stress happens.
Exhaustion happens.
And slowly, without even realizing it, we find ourselves disconnected from the healthiest version of ourselves.

I know many women feel embarrassed about:
how they eat,
how they look,
the stubborn midsection,
constant fatigue,
low confidence,
poor energy,
or simply not feeling like themselves anymore.

But I need you to hear this:

There is absolutely no shame in struggling.

Sometimes we simply need awareness, support, education, and the right strategy to help us get back to ourselves again.

And this is why I do what I do.

To help women over 40 transform their bodies, health, confidence, and lifestyle in a sustainable way ~ without shame, punishment, or extreme dieting.

This month, I am hosting a powerful masterclass:
WEIGHT LOSS AFTER 40

Let us help you start looking and feeling amazing again.

19/05/2026

“Janet, why do you love working with women over 40?”

That question stayed with me deeply 💜

And honestly?

Because this work is personal.

Growing up, I constantly heard things like:

👉 “After 40, your body just changes.”
👉 “You can’t really lose weight after a certain age.”
👉 “At that point, you just accept it.”
👉 “Sickness and weight gain are part of aging.”

And to me?

That was terrifying.

The idea that a woman could reach a certain age and feel trapped in a body she no longer recognized… with no real hope of changing it.

A body she did not feel comfortable in.
A body that felt heavy, tired, sick, disconnected.

And society almost made it sound normal.

But deep down?

I refused to believe that had to be our story.

My own turning point started unexpectedly.

For years, I struggled with IBS and was constantly on medication.

At some point, I started changing a few things in my diet and lifestyle ~not because I was trying to lose weight, but because I simply wanted to feel better and heal.

And something happened that changed my life forever.

👉 My body started changing naturally.

The weight started dropping without me obsessing over it.

And that’s when I learned something powerful:

👉 You become healthy to lose weight.
Not the other way around.

Then came another life-changing moment.

I attended a beach masterclass in Mombasa hosted by Nduta Maina for trainers.

While there, I took a picture by the swimming pool.

And honestly?

That picture changed my life forever.

I was thick.
And yes, I looked good as many would say.

But I could also see the extra fat.

And for the first time, I truly confronted how I felt about my body.

That picture became my turning point.

One of my trainer friends and I made a decision:

For the next 12 weeks, we would fully commit to our own body transformation journey.

And boy… we worked hard.

The pressure was intense because I was almost 40.

There was that voice in my mind reminding me of everything I had been told growing up:
“That after 40, it only gets worse.”

But I refused to accept that.

And by the time I turned 40 and did my birthday photoshoot?

I loved what I saw.

Not just because of the physical transformation.

But because I saw:

✨ Confidence
✨ Strength
✨ Discipline
✨ Health
✨ And a woman who had proven to herself that it was NOT too late

That moment changed everything for me.

And from then on, I made a decision:

👉𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒐𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 40.

Because they never deserve to feel stuck in a body they are uncomfortable in.

They never deserve to believe sickness, exhaustion, low confidence, weight gain, and feeling disconnected from themselves is simply “part of aging.”

I wanted to bring hope to women.

To help them:

✨ Become healthy
✨ Lose weight sustainably
✨ Build strength
✨ Regain confidence and self-esteem
✨ And eventually grow older gracefully and powerfully

And honestly?

I do this work with so much passion and dedication because I understand these women deeply.

Over the last few years, I’ve worked with many women over 40 ~but especially women over 50.

And what I love most about them is this:

👉 They are committed.

They put in the work.
They follow the guidance.
They value their health.

These are high-achieving women:
Women with careers.
Businesses.
Families.
Responsibilities that demand the highest version of them every day.

And I truly see my role as partnering with them for this second half of life.

Helping them feel:
Healthy.
Strong.
Confident.
Energized.
And fully alive again.

And this is exactly why, on Thursday 28th May, I’ll be hosting a LIVE 90-minute masterclass on:

✨ Weight Loss After 40 ✨

A powerful conversation every woman over 40 needs to hear.

Because you are NOT stuck.
And it is NOT too late.

17/05/2026

She healed me.

I knew God saved my daughter at 13 weeks of pregnancy.
And later, I came to understand something even deeper…
God saved her for me too.

Yesterday, my daughter did the most beautiful thing.
Something she must have spent time thinking through and preparing quietly in her own little world.

“Mama, there is something we need to do,” she said.

I casually responded, “Okay, let’s do it in a short while.”

Nothing prepared me for the exercise she had in store for me.

She stood there with a few things hidden behind her back.
Then she pulled out the first ones.

Two beautiful pieces of wet, colored tissue paper.

She asked me to tear them up.

Confused, I did it anyway, not knowing where she was headed.

I tore both of them into pieces.

Then she looked at me and softly said:

“That is your past painful life.”

Oh my goodness.

Nothing could have prepared me for that moment.

You see, children are some of the most intelligent beings.
They see the things we think they do not see.
They notice the pain we try to hide.
They carry silent observations in their little hearts.

For years, I was unhappy.
Extremely unhappy in a relationship I stayed in until I finally made some very tough decisions.

And I knew the world would not fully understand.
But it was my story.
And there was nothing in this world that could deny that really painful things had happened.

Then she handed me one last piece.

This one was beautiful too.

And she said:

“Don’t tear this one up. This is your new life. You are my beautiful flower. No more tears. No more pain. The past is now in the past… and you are healed.”

I sat there wondering what had just happened.

And then I reached out and hugged her.

My daughter… applauding my healing.
Witnessing my journey.
Reminding me that life can throw a hard ball at you, but you can choose to duck it, catch it, or throw it away.

You never have to stay down after the hit.

Today, I am here to say this:

Healing is beautiful.
And healing is evident.

To my daughter…
I write this with so much awe for the girl you have become.

There is something so unique about you that I still cannot fully explain.

But one thing I know for sure…

You were sent into my life for moments like this.
To remind me of the things I quietly forget.

That pain does not get the final word.
That joy can return again.
That healing is possible.

Healing is beautiful.

16/05/2026

You don’t need a completely new body.

You need to reconnect with the woman you already were.

The woman who:

✨ Felt confident in her skin
✨ Had energy throughout the day
✨ Didn’t constantly second-guess how she looked
✨ Felt light, strong, and in control of her body

She’s not gone.

She’s just been buried under:
Stress.
Responsibility.
Exhaustion.
And years of trying methods that no longer work for your body now.

And after a while…

You stop feeling like yourself.

Not because you’ve failed.

👉 But because your body has been asking for a different kind of support.

And when you finally unlock the right system?

Something shifts.

Your body starts responding again.
Your confidence starts returning.
You begin feeling more like yourself again.

Not the old version of you.

👉 A stronger, wiser, more aligned version.

That’s exactly what the EASE Method helps women 40+ create 💜

And this time?

👉 It lasts.
