🚨 LONG POST ALERT ⚠️📢
This is player to player advice, coming purely from experience. I’ve played football for many years. I’ve represented my national team, featured at WAFCON 2016, and competed both internationally and locally at club level.
At one point, I had an opportunity to play outside the country. What held me back wasn’t my ability, it was the lack of quality video. I had clips, yes, but they didn’t truly sell me as a player. The feedback was clear: “This video is not selling you.”
What could have come early ended up taking much longer.
So this is my sincere plea to players who genuinely want to tap into the international market, please invest in quality videos. It doesn’t cost much. From your allowances, set aside a small amount and get a 1–2 minute, well-shot highlight video of you in action. That small investment goes a very long way and can pay back in countless ways.
We all say, “I have videos.” And yes, having a video is good, but having a clear, professional, well-executed video is what makes the real difference.
It’s 2026. Let’s develop. Let’s grow. Let’s have these conversations.
Use the people and resources around you. Teams like Kenya Police Bullets, Vihiga Queens, Kayole Starlets and others are already investing in videography. For teams without that support, use whatever is available. Brands like Soccerpower99 also do an amazing job at a fee, delivering well-executed football highlights videos.
Even if results don’t come immediately, trust me, it will help you later.
If you want opportunities to play outside the country, this is one of the most important steps.
Use what you have to get what you want before anything else, brand yourself for that market
📌 PLEASE INVEST IN QUALITY VIDEOS.
