The atmosphere around the Kwale County teachers’ camp in Malindi swung wildly between despair and delight in a dramatic afternoon that captured the very essence of sport—unpredictable, unforgiving, yet gloriously hopeful.
For the men’s football team, it was a storm of uncertainty. Messages flooded in, panic rising with every passing minute. Questions hung heavily in the air—“Kwani tumegongwa?”—as tension gripped supporters and officials alike. The dreaded update finally arrived like a thunderbolt: Laikipia 3, KDF 1.
Silence followed. Then came the murmurs. Then the chaos.
