A tough day for football. When the final whistle is blown in an office and not on the pitch, the very principles of fair competition are called into question. To have a point deducted, only to see three points awarded for a failure to complete a match, is a contradiction that undermines every club and every fan. Our focus remains on our players and our path, but the state of the competition deserves serious reflection.
