TRCG CUP 2025 EDITION UPDATES.

Due to several requests for extension of registration deadline, the Commitee TRCG CUP 2025 Edition has resolved to extend the Registration Deadline to 4pm,Tuesday 14th October 2025 .

Yet to Register Clubs are asked to take advantage of the extension.

15 Wards, 6 Sub-Counties, 1 County Champion - "Where dreams meet the field".

The Department of Youth & Sports , Tana River County Government In Conjunction with FKF Tana River Branch in their objective of identifying, nurturing and developing of soccer talents brings to you "TRCG CUP 2025"

All Football Clubs are invited to register to participate in the Tournament.

Period of Registration

4th October 2025 to 11th October 2025

How to Register

All FKF-affiliated clubs wishing to participate in the TRCG Cup 2025 are required to download the following Registration form Document

And submit their applications between 4th October 2025 and 11th October 2025 to the following Mobile Number 0729 976411 Whatsap Account.

Requirements

1.Attach a valid FKF Affiliation Certificate.

2.18 Players List with details as per the Form.

Eligibility

1.Players who have participated in FKF Regional leagues to Kenya Premier league are not allowed to participate.. Using such a player shall lead to Disqualification.

2.Teams participating in Tiers higher than County League are also Ineligible to participate.

EMPOWERING YOUTH THROUGH SPORTS IN TANARIVER COUNTY

Friday September 9th, 2025

Galole Subcounty department of Youth and Sports, led by Chief Officer Mr. Sirad, recently hosted a 5-day referee training session at Shemeji Hotel in Hola. The event was a collaboration with the Football Kenya Federation and drew over 70 participants from across the county and neighboring counties, including Lamu and Kilifi.

During the training, Mr. Sirad urged the youth to stay away from antisocial behavior and instead focus on creating opportunities among themselves through sports. He also announced plans for upcoming activities that would engage the youth with the department, aiming to improve sports development in the county.

This initiative is a great step towards empowering the youth in Tanariver county through sports. By providing opportunities for young people to develop their skills and stay engaged, the department is helping to build a brighter future for the county.

READY TO GO!! TEAM 004 ALL GUNS FOR THE KYISA 10TH EDITION CHAMPIONSHIPS.

After being flagged off in a colourful and well attended ceremony at the County headquarters on Friday evening headed by the Tana River County Governor Rtd Major Dhadho Godhana accompanied by the County Executive Member of Education, Youth and Sports and other senior county officials, the team departed for Homabay on the wee hours of Saturday and arrived on Sunday evening.

The team headed by the County Director of Sports Mr.Issack Hassan comprises of football boys and volleyball girls attended a vigorous verification exercise at Homabay huduma centre to confirm identification and age on monday morning and are ready for the championship after all players were passed fit and eligible for the championships.

The football boys pooled against last year opponents Homabey and Lamu will kick off their matches on Wednesday morning against Homabey and finish off with Lamu County later in the day.

004 volley queens have been drawn against Siaya and Busia, the girls will be debuting for the first time ever.

The selected players were picked from a vigorous trials process that was conducted in three subcounties and players were selected basing on their own field performance during the trials sessions.

FLAGGING OFF OF TANA RIVER YOUTH TEAM FOR 2025 KYISA GAMES~HOLA TANA RIVER COUNTY.

I had the honor of joining H.E. Governor Rtd Major Dhadho Godhana in officially flagging off the Tana River County youth team heading to participate in the 2025 Kenya Youth Inter-County Sports Association (KYISA) Games in Homa Bay. The event marked a proud moment for our county as we sent off a vibrant and determined group of young athletes, ready to represent Tana River on the national stage.

The Governor reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment through sports and development, while I emphasized the importance of unity, discipline, and resilience as our team embarks on this exciting journey. We believe in the potential of our youth and are confident they will make us proud.

We wish our team all the best as they compete and showcase the talent and spirit of Tana River - Education,youth and sports,gender and social services Mr Abas Kunyo.

Are you ready to showcase your talent and represent your county? Join us for the annual Kenya Youth Inter-County Sports Association Games! This is an exciting opportunity for young athletes to compete, connect, and celebrate sportsmanship across counties. The event will be held from 13th to 19th April 2025 in HOMABAY COUNTY. Therefore, TANARIVER COUNTY $Department of youth and sports wish to invite all football boys and volleyball both boys and girls players for trials as per the above advert.
