Race registration season is upon us!

From T100-style distances to the full long course triathlon - and everything in between. Here's our compilation of confirmed, tentative, and TBA middle to long distance triathlons around Japan. Swims range from 2k to 4k; bikes from 70-something to 190k; and the run anywhere between 14.4k to the full marathon.

Tis the season...to get crackin' on planning out your 2025 triathlon season!

In Japan, things will get started in Okinawa on April 13 at the Ishigaki Triathlon and begin to fizzle out by early November with Standard Distance Nationals in Miyazaki and the inaugural Long Distance Nationals in Okinawa.

Debating the Miyakojima Triathlon? Maybe Faith's race report will help you decide!

Look, there's no harm in submitting the application (deadline is October 31), as long as you think you're up for the challenge. Whether you'll be 'selected' is a whole 'nother story! And even if you're selected, you can change your mind - forfeit your slot and it'll roll down to someone else on the waitlist.

After its inaugural edition on June 11 in 2023, then skipping 2024 due to various challenges, the second IRONMAN 70.3 Japan Higashi-Mikawa (Aichi Prefecture) is tentatively scheduled for June 8, 2025 (Sunday).
