✨ To my fellow heart-centered coaches, healers, and leaders—this is part of the work.
It’s not my usual thing, I’m always cold, calm, and still.
But today, I shouted!
In a capsule hostel in Japan—wall-to-wall silence, bed-to-bed proximity—and I broke that silence with the full force of an emotional wave.
I also smashed my already-broken iPhone case.
Not out of destruction, but out of desperation.
My nervous system hit capacity, and my body needed to release what my mind couldn’t contain.
As someone in recovery from trauma—and as a mindset and mental wellness coach—I’ve learned that teaching regulation doesn’t mean perfection.
It means honesty.
It means integrity.
It means owning the mess and moving forward anyway.
Yes, I startled others.No, I didn’t cause harm.Yes, I reflected and took accountability.
Because this is what true leadership looks like:
Not holding it all together at all times, but walking through the breakdowns with awareness, humility, and grace.
To all my peers in this space:Let’s stop pretending we’re always regulated.Let’s normalize humanness in healing and coaching work.Let’s show our clients what real growth looks like—not just in theory, but in the trenches.
You can be the guide and still be in the process. You can hold space for others and still need space for yourself.
This is how we lead—with truth, compassion, and the courage to show up as we are.
If this resonates, I’d love to hear how you hold space for yourself in messy moments.
