⛩ SHORINJIRYU KENKOKAN KARATEDO ⛩
Honouring Our Founder & His Legacy
KAISO MASAYOSHI KORI HISATAKA (Seiko Kudaka) – 10th Dan
22 April 1904 — 14 August 1988
Born in Shuri, Okinawa, Kaiso Hisataka was a descendant of Emperor Seiwa, the 56th Emperor of Japan. Trained within his family traditions, he mastered kobudo, jujutsu, judo, and karate, studying under great teachers such as:
• Sanda Kanagusuku (Kobudo)
• Chotoku Kyan (Karate)
Kaiso was a true innovator. He was among the first karate masters to introduce protective training equipment (bogu), including the men (helmet) and dō (body armor), based on his powerful philosophy:
“Protect the target — not the weapons.”
Vital areas of the body should be shielded.
Hands and feet must be conditioned.
Karate must remain real, functional, and dynamic.

SO-SHIHAN MASAYUKI KUKAN HISATAKA (Kudaka) – 10th Dan
Headmaster, Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Karatedo
Founder, World Koshiki Karate Federation (WKKF)
Continuing his father’s vision, Kudaka-Sensei created the scientifically advanced Supersafe Anzen Bogu®, enabling full-contact, realistic shiai while maintaining safety.
Today, WKKF competition spans five continents, guided by one principle:
Only Supersafe Anzen Bogu® is worn.
No gloves. No shin pads. No padded footwear.
This protects the vital targets while preserving the integrity of traditional karate techniques.

A Living Legacy
Kaiso Kori Hisataka’s philosophy continues through the teachings and leadership of So-Shihan Masayuki Kudaka and the global community of Shorinjiryu practitioners.
**Protect the target.
Condition the weapons.
Preserve the spirit.**
