Sunday Runday! 🙌 Started off with a lovely breeze, finished hot and steamy 🥵🤷‍♂️😂 Regardless, nice to get the day started with a run, 6 miles done. ✅ Happy Runday!

Friyay Runday! 🙌 A beautiful bright and breezy 4 miles to close out the week. Pace was pretty steady throughout and legs felt good… I twisted my ankle earlier in the week, it still feels tender but no pain while running or walking. We keep going! 😅

Run run day again! 🙌 We’ve had a bit of a heatwave here in the UK but we’re finally having a little reprieve. 😅 4 lovely sunny and cool breezy miles, done. The beauty of not racing is that I had no qualms about shutting the running done totally for a week. I run because i enjoy running, not the agony. I save the agony for races. 😂 I hope you’re keeping safe and well in the heat! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💪

Heatwave run, got out early to avoid the worst of the heat… mission NOT accomplished. 🥵😂 Nonetheless it was a nice run and i managed to keep a steady consistent speed for the 5 miles. Apparently going to be even hotter next week! 🫣

Got in today’s run early before our mini heatwave kicks in later on. 4 relatively cool miles this morning, I even managed to keep the pace nice and steady. 😅 Nice to get it done! 🙌😊

Happy Friyay! Caught a dry window again for today’s run. 🙌 A nice for 4 miles, done. ☑️ The intention was to keep it easy and I largely stuck to it, but did drift towards a little quicker in the second 2 miles, still relatively easy though. It’s just nice to be out there enjoying the calm still early mornings! 😊

Another run done. Got out before the daily rain. It’s been raining pretty much every day since I got back, happy summer y’all! 🙄😂 I did 4 miles today and managed to pick up the pace a little each mile… and it didn’t feel too bad! 😅 Gotta thank the ol’ body for hanging on in there! 🙏😂

… and we’re back, Raj Says Run, again. 😂 First run in 3 weeks. Had planned on doing some running in Japan but once I was out there I never really had the chance, there was too much else to do out there. Whilst I absolutely love running, it’s not everything… and I knew it’ll be there for me when I was back. And it was was there today and it was absolutely great to get some early morning miles in… and surprisingly, it didn’t feel too bad considering the time off and travelling. Thank you running, you’ve been good to me! 🏃‍♂️😊

Another Japan trip concludes and another wonderful time was had. Not sad that it’s over, very grateful to have had the opportunity and excited for the next one! Nihon, hontōni arigatō!!! 🇯🇵🙇‍♂️❤️

And just like that it’s day 14, the last full day of this Japan trip, flight back early tomorrow. The day started with Osaka’s most iconic building, Osaka Castle. I don’t usually get too excited about castles, but this one is a real gem and I already felt pretty acquainted with it having seen it on countless episodes of Detective Conan. After that it was just walking around some of the neighbourhoods taking in the sights, sounds and smells. I finished off the day and the trip at Arabiq, a delightful tiny cafe full of books and eclectic nicknacks for sale. A perfect place to relax and reflect on a lovely trip to this wonderful country. 🇯🇵❤️
