With the support of Zele Racing, it was an excellent and very productive test.

I improved my personal best from two years ago by about 1.2 seconds, and was roughly 1 second faster than last year’s FIA F2 pole time. It was really enjoyable to drive.

I’ll aim to carry this momentum into Super Formula and push for this kind of performance there as well. I’m also very grateful to Zele Racing for creating the opportunity to run, even during such a busy period before the race.

Naomichi Uramoto to race full season in the FIM Endurance World Championship!

🚨日本初のBMW Motorrad Motorsport公式チームが誕生‼️🚨2026年チーム&参戦体制について

「オートレース宇部 Racing Team」はFIM世界耐久選手権（FIM Endurance World Championship＝通称FIM EWC）の全4戦にBMW M1000RRでフル参戦致します。出場するのは最高峰となる「Formula EWC」クラスです。

そして「オートレース宇部 Racing Team（エントリー名：AutoRace Ube Racing Team）」は今シーズンから日本初のBMW Motorrad Motorsport公式チームとして活動することになりました。

昨年のMFJ全日本ロードレース選手権JSB1000での優勝、そして鈴鹿8耐とボルドール24時間レースでのパフォーマンスをBMW社から高く評価して頂き、Official Teamの一員となって活動するお誘いを受けました。日本国内のレーシングチームが海外メーカーの公式チームとして活動するというのは過去に例が無く、とても光栄なことです。

2026年のライダーは、JSB1000で昨年ランキング3位を獲得した浦本修充（うらもと・なおみち）に加え、BMW Motorrad Motorsportのファクトリーライダーであるシルヴァン・ギュントーリ（フランス）、同じくファクトリーライダーのハンネス・スーマー（エストニア）が合流する強力なラインナップになりました。

After announcing his retirement from racing earlier this week, three-time BSB champion Ryuichi-Kiyonari had a message to share to everyone who supported him during his time in BSB:

“I want to say thank you so, so much to all the BSB fans, BSB teams and sponsors, riders, staff, marshals, medics - to everybody. I had wins and podiums because I met good people and always had good people around me. I really enjoyed racing in BSB, working with the teams.

"I also enjoyed drinking John Smiths! I miss the UK so much, but it is still hard to eat black pudding and marmite!

"BSB is my everything. I will now enjoy what is next and the future.”
