Seaview Gardens FC is a KSAFA affiliated Club that won the KSAFA/ CLARO SYD Bartlett football competition in the 2009/10 season. Andrew a
nd has been playing its home game at the Oval since 1984. Originally founded in 1983 as the Seaview Dynamic Youth Club, they joined the Red Label Wine City League 2nd Division in 1985. After three attempts, the club gained promotion to City League Division 1 competition and later won the title in 1994. SEAVIEW GARDENS FC History
In 1983, Mr. Paul Douglas and Miss Veleisha Dean started the Seaview Dynamics Youth Club with its meeting place on the veranda of Mr Pinto’s Seaview Gardens residence. The Dynamic Youth Club entered the Red Label Wine Second Division in 1985, being promoted to Division 1 after 3 attempts. Despite finishing next to last the following season, they managed to survive the league for 8 years. The high point of that period was a 4th place finish in 1993 and winning the Division1 in 1994 under the guidance of Donovan Muir . After a number of years in the KSAFA Syd Bartlett competition, Seaview Gardens FC then gained promotion to the Major League in the 2005/06 season under the guidance of player/ coach Winston Barnes. In the 2006/07 season, Seaview Gardens got off to a brilliant start staying in the top 4 for the first month ,and after 6 weeks had statistically the best defensive record until they stumbled and ended up on a 3 match losing streak before finishing 3rd behind Mona and Cavalier that season. A 5th place finish the following season gave some hope for football in the community ,so they appointed coach Michael Francis for the 2008/09 season. Seaview Gardens FC, suffered relegation from the Major league under the guidance of Coach Francis. In the 2009/10 season, Miss Tamara Williams was appointed the team’s head coach . During the Tamara Williams tenure, we won the Syd Bartlett after previous relegated from the Major League and 3rd in the 2005/06 season; looking back, all was set to continue that pattern and bring home the title. That season Williams convince few former Premier League players to join the team which we eventually won, but these same players was a disappointment when we entrusted them to repeat the performance in the Major League. Miss Williams created a double history by leading the Club to its second KSAFA title,- the SYD Bartlett Trophy, as well as becoming the first woman to successfully coach an all men’s team to a KSAFA Championship. In the 2010/11 season, Mr Philmore Crumbie was appointed head coach along with assistance Michael Brown both former players, that season the team finished 3rd in the Major and miss out on promotion to the Super League by 2 points. The club was expelled from the senior competition in the 2011/12 season because of the non participation in one of the youth competition the previous season. That same season all focus was on the youth teams( U-13, U-15, U-17, & U-20). Our effort was realize when the U-20 team was place 3rd and will be promoted this season to the confederation zone with the more established clubs such as , Harbour view, Tivoli etc. Our U-13 and U-15 teams were just as competitive as the U-20, the U-13 team lost in the quarter final to the eventual winner Waterhouse FC, the team place 5th. The U-15 team miss out on the semi final by a point. The return of the team to the 2012/13 senior competition was one of those season we want to quickly forget, the team place 5th in a six team SYD Bartlett competition. For the 2014/15 started out slow with 3 consecutive to Whitfield, Central Kingston and a 5 - 3 lost to swallowfield, the team lost confident with some senior players quit and others migrated. Coach crumbie work tirelessly with the remaining members and develop a philosophy which see the team won 8 consecutive matches. We went on to win the zone on 33 points. In the semi final we face Duhaney Park at the Barbican Field in the curtain raiser, we destroyed them with a 2 - 0 victory from the burly defender Lance DaCosta and Roland (45) Young. In the final against Maverley/ Hughenden A double strike from Patrick "Ping" Richards , and another from Shawn "Duppy Man" McDonald give us the title, a penalty and brilliant strike by the forward only managed to take Maverley/Hughenden to the brink. We won 3 - 2. We started the 2015/16 season with some uncertainty, we didn't brought in any new players to sustained us in super league and our key defender Shawn Mcdonald migrated. Coach Crumbie agree to the term of the Job but was hardly at any training session due to other commitment but did not convey to us. In our opening game at home we lost 3 -2 to Shortwood with the team missing numerous easy chances, In the next game against Bull Bay we won 2 - 1 in a game which we should have easily won by six goals to one. We work hard to get things together but the moral of the team was already break because of the lock of training. After couple close lost in some games that we should have won, we appoint Coach Smalling as interim but the damage was already done we were rooted at the bottom of the table with 6 points. A dispute over boots develop among players which see the captain Jason Harry quit the team along with , Shevar Dias, Roland Young, Tevin Harrison and Marcel Edwards. We bring a few U-17 players to fill the void but even the youngster could not not prevented us from relegated from the Super Leagues. SEAVIEW GARDENS FC Honours, Trophies & Awards
