Dr. Lucia Ra**ra 🇮🇹
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Milan in 1994, Dr. Ra**ra works as a freelance veterinary cardiologist in the provinces of Brescia, Bergamo, and Cremona. Since 2000 she has collaborated with Prof. Roberto Santilli on scientific papers, textbooks, and courses in veterinary cardiology. She has a strong focus on electrocardiography and arrhythmology, with in-depth work on junctional tachycardia, ventriculo-atrial conduction, and R-peak time in dogs.
Author of numerous national and international publications, she is a frequent lecturer for GACVI, SCIVAC, SICARV, UNISVET, FNOVI, and private clinics. She co-authored and contributed to textbooks including “Electrocardiography of the Dog and Cat”, “Manuale di Cardiologia del Cane e del Gatto”, and “Cardiac Arrhythmias in Dogs and Cats”. In 2019 she obtained the European Certification in Veterinary Echocardiography. Her research now focuses on the cardiology of sporting dogs, collaborating with SIRIMSVET, VEPRA, and Amesvi, where she serves as Scientific Director.
She presented studies at the ECVSMR Congress in Córdoba (2024) and the ISDVMA Congress in Kiruna (2024), and serves as race veterinarian in several international sleddog and canicross events. She is currently involved in multiple scientific studies on cardiac function in sleddogs in cooperation with Amesvi and university institutions.

Dr. Andrea Galimberti 🇮🇹
Graduated from the University of Milan, Dr. Galimberti is the owner of Clinica Veterinaria Caravaggio and Ambulatorio Veterinario Arco della Pace in Milan. Since 2010, he has focused on working and sporting dogs (search and rescue, police, detection units), deepening his knowledge in internal medicine, surgery, sports medicine, and vector-borne diseases in collaboration with the Universities of Barcelona and Vienna.
He is an ENCI and CSEN instructor, teaching courses on veterinary first aid and canine sports nutrition. In 2016, he founded his own company for high-quality supplements for working dogs, developing several formulations and consulting for nutraceutical companies. He is an early adopter of thermography in veterinary sports medicine, conducting research on sports-related injuries and joining the American Academy of Thermology in 2020.
Dr. Galimberti is a consultant for animal welfare for law enforcement K9 and equine divisions and serves as Head Veterinarian of the AN Police K9 Search and Rescue Unit in Como. As both musher and veterinarian, he participated in more than 60 national and international events, including the IRO World Championships (Ljubljana 2018, Paris 2019). He is President of AMeSVI (since 2022) and Federal Veterinarian for FIDASC (2024).

Dr. Michele Novelli 🇮🇹
Graduated from the University of Perugia in 2006. After several years working in veterinary hospitals in Rome and completing an internship in Brooklyn, New York, he founded Clinica Veterinaria VIII Colle in Rome. His main areas of expertise include surgery, radiology, nutrition, and the management of sporting dogs, collaborating with various clinics in Rome and the Lazio region.
A lifelong Siberian Husky enthusiast and musher himself, Dr. Novelli has served as official race veterinarian at numerous national and international sleddog competitions. He has been an IFSS Judge since 2019, AMeSVI member since 2023, and FIDASC Federal Veterinarian since 2024.
