Slowing down to the speed of grace looks a lot like this: purple flowers, a sleeping Snoopy, and a chalkboard reminding you that happiness is here, now.

I first came here a year after my first husband died. Somehow allowing myself to feel everything, the grief, the beauty, the joy, has made it all more precious.

Some places don’t let you go. I first came here 13 years ago and I keep coming back to this house, to this view. I’ve stopped pretending I have a choice.

To call myself beloved. To feel myself beloved on the earth.

A new essay on teachers, torches, and what we're really here for. And an invitation. 🌹

When Everything Feels Like It’s Falling Apart

There are times when it feels as though nothing is holding, when even the things you thought you could rely on begin to shift, and you are left wondering what, if anything, is still reliable under your feet.

Not just in your own life, either, but in the world itself.

The news keeps coming, one story layered on top of the next, until it begins to feel less like information and more like a steady background pressure you are meant to absorb and carry.

Systems you once trusted now reveal their fragility. Relationships wobble under the weight of change and differing opinions. Bodies shift in ways you did not ask for or expect.

And a future that once felt reasonably predictable now feels uncertain.

Questions arise that refuse to go away:

In the midst of ordinary days,
I make small altars.

A candle.
A flower.
My Grannie’s music box.

When the world feels loud, fractured, unkind,
I remember that peace is not something to find out there.

It lives here
in simple rituals,
in breath and light,
in the radical act of living from an inner sanctuary.

Stillness is not an escape.
It is a remembrance of what is always here
Waiting for us to return.🌹

This year, I’m not making resolutions.
I’m listening instead.
To stillness.
To my own inner wisdom.
If that speaks to you too, join me for Beginnings this Sunday.

Balance at last. 😀

Christmas feasts and fitness goals - they actually live together these days.

No guilt. No “undoing the damage”. Just showing up for my body because it wants to be strong and capable. Wants to jump on the trampoline and go out on the scooters with my grandsons AND enjoy every bite of the holiday spread.

Turns out you can enjoy every mince pie AND show up for your body. No more waiting for Mondays or New Year.

If you’re ready to end that all-or-nothing thinking as we close out 2025, I’m holding an Endings ceremony today at 5pm GMT. A chance to release what no longer serves and make space for joy!

We don’t need another plan.
We need a place to pause.

Stillness.
Gratitude.
Presence

This Sunday, December 28th
I’m holding a live ceremony for women
to breathe, remember and release.

90 minutes.
Poetry. Contemplation. Writing.
At the speed of Grace. 🌹
