This wasn’t about being the fastest, it was about refusing to fold as Baldoni pushed through ruts and washboard and heat, climbing sections that felt carved straight upward while sweat mixed with dust and the silence pressed close around him. He leaned into the chaos of the terrain, letting the gravel coat him like armor as the miles unfolded and the landscape changed shape beneath his wheels. Every stretch asked something different of him, and every answer came from a place deeper than strength or speed, a place only long days on rough roads can reach.
