Meet Mael Sohna, a 6’2 French guard born in 2011.

Coming from Soyaux, Mael brings size and versatility to the backcourt. His game is built on change of pace, aggressive drives, smart off-ball movement, playmaking for his teammates, and the ability to create defensive stops.

What stands out most is his mindset. Mael understands the sacrifices required to pursue a professional career and he is ready to step outside his comfort zone to chase his goals.

𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗪𝗜𝗘𝗥 𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗖𝗞𝗢 𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞! 🔒🏀

Standing at 216 cm (7’1”), Oliwier returns to the Academy for his second season, ready to take another big step forward.

Having previously played high school basketball in the US, Oliwier brings valuable experience, size and tremendous upside. A true late bloomer, he really started to blossom toward the end of last season and we believe he’s only scratching the surface of what he can become.

This season, Oliwier will be one of the building blocks of our Academy. With his size, continued development and growing confidence, we’re excited to see him take on a bigger role and make an impact on both ends of the floor.

Just as impressive off the court, Oliwier is an outstanding student with excellent grades and takes his academics as seriously as his basketball.

The potential is there. The work continues. Big season ahead.

We are excited to unveil the first official collectible card from our BTG Academy Collection Book 2026–2027.

We start with our Head Coach, Jeremie Haudiquet, who will continue leading the academy into another season dedicated to developing players, building competitors, and creating opportunities for ambitious athletes from around the world.

We’re proud to see BTG Academy featured by one of France’s leading basketball media outlets.

« After spending the season in Italy with BTG Academy Molfetta, Axel continued his development by competing in the European Youth Basketball League (EYBL U20), one of Europe’s top international youth competitions.

In 13 EYBL games, he averaged:
📊 9.9 PPG | 3.9 RPG | 1.8 APG | 1.0 SPG | 0.8 BPG in 29 minutes per game.

At the end of the season, BTG Academy recognized him as their “Best Shooter” award winner.

His experience in Italy allowed him to compete against players from many different countries before returning to France, where he earned his first opportunity to join a French Nationale 1 roster. »

We’re incredibly proud of Axel and grateful to see the work being recognized beyond our academy. This is another step forward for BTG Academy and proof that hard work, daily commitment, and international competition create real opportunities.

After a season of hard work, discipline, and continuous development at BTG Academy, Axel has officially signed with Mulhouse Mustangs, competing in the French Nationale Masculine 1 (NM1). 🇫🇷🏀

Throughout the season, Axel showed tremendous maturity, professionalism, and a commitment to improving every single day. His work ethic, coachability, and willingness to embrace challenges made this opportunity possible.

We’re incredibly proud to have been part of your journey and grateful for the trust you placed in our program. This is another important step, but only the beginning of what we believe will be a bright future.
