E forse è proprio questo che spaventa davvero.

Perché dietro a ogni binomio straordinario…
non ci sono solo talento e vittorie.

Ci sono rinunce che nessuno applaude.

Allenamenti fatti quando eri stanco.
Viaggi infiniti.
Soldi spesi senza pensarci due volte.
Giornate andate male.
Lacrime nascoste in macchina dopo una gara.
La sensazione di non essere mai abbastanza.

Eppure…
il giorno dopo sei di nuovo lì.
In campo.
Con il tuo cane.

Perché alcune passioni non si spiegano.
Si sacrificano.

🔥 Ogni sogno ha un prezzo.
E chi arriva davvero in alto…
è quasi sempre quello che ha avuto il coraggio di perdere qualcosa per arrivarci.

And maybe that’s what truly scares people.

Because behind every extraordinary team…
there isn’t only talent and victories.

There are sacrifices nobody applauds.

Training when you were exhausted.
Endless trips.
Money spent without hesitation.
Bad days.
Tears hidden in the car after a competition.
The feeling of never being enough.

And yet…
the next day you are there again.
On the field.
With your dog.

Because some passions cannot be explained.
They must be sacrificed for.

🔥 Every dream has a price.
And the ones who truly reach the top…
are usually the ones brave enough to lose something to get there

I social ci fanno credere che nell’obedience l’apparenza sia tutto.

Un terra spettacolare.
Una condotta mozzafiato.
Un reel perfetto di 15 secondi con musica epica e movimenti impeccabili. 🎥🔥

Ma spesso quelli sono solo istanti.
Frammenti scelti.
Montaggi costruiti sopra allenamenti confusi, problemi nascosti, frustrazione, stress o esercizi vuoti.

Perché è facile mostrare un momento bello.
Molto più difficile costruire davvero qualcosa di solido. 🖤

La vera obedience non è l’effetto wow di un video.
È ciò che succede quando nessuno guarda.

È il cane che ti sceglie anche senza premio.
È la motivazione che resta viva dopo mesi.
È la serenità durante l’errore.
È la precisione costruita senza spegnere il cane.
È il rapporto che rimane anche quando il punteggio non arriva. 🐾

L’apparenza impressiona.
La sostanza resta. 🔥

E alla fine, un esercizio bellissimo dura pochi secondi.
Un cane felice di lavorare con te può durare tutta la vita. 🤍

Social media makes us believe that appearance is everything in obedience.

A spectacular down position.
A breathtaking heelwork.
A perfect 15-second reel with epic music and flawless movement. 🎥🔥

But often those are only moments.
Selected fragments.
Edited clips built on top of confusing training, hidden problems, frustration, stress, or empty exercises.

Because showing one beautiful moment is easy.
Building something truly solid is much harder. 🖤

Real obedience is not the “wow effect” of a video.
It’s what happens when nobody is watching.

It’s the dog choosing you even without a reward.
It’s motivation that stays alive after months of training.
It’s calmness during mistakes.
It’s precision built without shutting the dog down.
It’s the relationship that remains even when the score does not. 🐾

Appearance impresses.
Substance remains. 🔥

In the end, a beautiful exercise lasts a few seconds.
A dog happy to work with you can last a lifetime. 🤍

Nel nostro sport è facile essere duri.
È facile correggere.
Pretendere.
Alzare la voce quando qualcosa non riesce.

La vera forza, invece, è restare lucidi.
Giusti.
Pazienti.

Essere gentili non significa abbassare i criteri.
Significa avere abbastanza controllo di sé da non lasciare che frustrazione ed ego guidino l’allenamento. 🔥

Perché i cani non imparano dalla paura di sbagliare.
Imparano dalla fiducia. 🤍

E spesso il binomio più bello non è quello che urla di più…
ma quello che riesce a comunicare quasi in silenzio. 🐾

In dog sports, it’s easy to be harsh.
Easy to correct.
To demand more.
To raise your voice when things don’t work.

Real strength is staying calm.
Fair.
Patient.

Being gentle does not mean lowering your standards.
It means having enough self-control not to let frustration and ego drive the training. 🔥

Dogs do not learn from fear of failure.
They learn from trust. 🤍

And often, the most beautiful teams are not the loudest ones…
but the ones able to communicate almost in silence. 🐾

“Le scelte sbagliate creano le storie migliori.” 🖤

Come quella volta che, dopo la dodicesima gara andata male in classe 2, eri talmente disperato da convincerti che il problema non fosse più l’allenamento… ma una maledizione ancestrale. 😂

E così, a bordo campo, sotto lo sguardo ormai rassegnato degli amici, nasce la macumba.
Una specie di rito voodoo improvvisato, trovato su internet alle undici di sera, con una “suora” fatta usando un asciugamano sporco dei cani in testa, candele improbabili e formule pronunciate con una convinzione quasi inquietante. 🕯️💀

La parte peggiore?
Che aveva pure funzionato.
Il giorno dopo il cane aveva fatto una delle gare migliori della sua vita. 🤣

Oppure quella volta che hai guidato per 400 km verso una gara importantissima, sentendoti pronto, motivato, preparato…
per poi aprire il bagagliaio e sentire il gelo:
attrezzatura da gara rimasta a casa. 🚗

E allora ago, filo, pezzi di stoffa recuperati al volo…
un gilet costruito praticamente con la speranza. 🪡

Che ovviamente decide di scucirsi proprio durante la prova, proprio all’ultimo esercizio, proprio mentre la gara stava andando divinamente. 😂

O quella notte in hotel, quando hai deciso di provare i nuovi premietti “super naturali” senza leggere l’etichetta.
Alle tre del mattino eri in parcheggio, in pigiama, con il cane in piena dissenteria, una torcia in bocca, i sacchetti finiti e la netta sensazione che la tua vita avesse preso una piega molto strana. 🌙💩

Eppure…
anni dopo, nessuno ricorda davvero le gare perfette.

Ci ricordiamo le risate soffocate in macchina.
Le figuracce epiche.
Le notti assurde.
Le soluzioni disperate.
Le decisioni pessime prese con assoluta convinzione. 🤍

Perché i risultati finiscono nei libretti gara.
Le storie, invece, restano addosso per sempre. 🔥

“Bad choices make the best stories.” 🖤

Like that time, after your twelfth terrible Class 2 competition, you became so desperate that you convinced yourself the problem wasn’t training anymore… but an ancient curse. 😂

And so, right next to the ring, under the tired gaze of your friends, the ritual was born.
A weird voodoo ceremony found online at 11 PM, involving a “nun” costume made with a dirty dog towel on your head, random candles, and mysterious phrases repeated with disturbing confidence. 🕯️💀

The worst part?
It actually worked.
The next day your dog did one of the best performances of his entire life. 🤣

Or that time you drove 400 km to an important competition, feeling prepared, focused, ready to win…
only to open the trunk and realize you had forgotten ALL your competition equipment at home. 🚗

So there you were, with needle, thread, random fabric scraps…
building a competition vest held together mostly by hope. 🪡

Which obviously decided to fall apart during the routine, during the very last exercise, while the run had been absolutely perfect until that exact moment. 😂

Or that night at the hotel, when you decided to try those new “super natural” treats without reading the label first.
At 3 AM you were outside in the parking lot, wearing pajamas, your dog having explosive diarrhea, holding a flashlight in your mouth, completely out of p**p bags, wondering where exactly your life had gone wrong. 🌙💩

And yet…
years later, nobody really remembers the perfect competitions.

We remember the laughter in the car.
The legendary disasters.
The absurd nights.
The desperate solutions.
The terrible decisions taken with complete confidence. 🤍

Because scores stay in the scorebook.
But stories stay with you forever. 🔥

😊 Uscire dal campo con il sorriso è la vittoria più grande.

Ed è esattamente quello che abbiamo visto in questi quattro giorni di camp in Austria.

Abbiamo visto crescere idee, competenze, fiducia e lavoro. Abbiamo visto allenamenti diventare risultati e piccoli dettagli trasformarsi in grandi progressi.

Un enorme grazie a Eva per l’organizzazione, l’ospitalità e per aver reso possibile questo bellissimo progetto Italia Goes Austria, che ha unito appassionati di Obedience e SAR provenienti da paesi diversi ma con la stessa passione.

La simulazione finale ci ha regalato la parte più bella: vedere i frutti di tutto il lavoro fatto insieme. Come un albero che, dopo mesi di cura e attenzione, finalmente mostra ciò che è cresciuto. 🌱🌳

Siamo orgogliosi di ogni binomio e non vediamo l’ora di ritrovarvi il prossimo anno, ancora più preparati, ancora più consapevoli e ancora più forti.

😊 Leaving the field with a smile is the greatest victory.

And that’s exactly what we saw during these four days of camp in Austria.

We saw ideas, skills, confidence, and teamwork grow. We watched training turn into results and small details become meaningful progress.

A huge thank you to Eva for the organization, hospitality, and for making this wonderful Italy Goes Austria project possible.

The final trial simulation gave us the greatest reward: seeing the fruits of all the work done together. Like a tree that, after months of care and dedication, finally shows what has grown. 🌱🌳

We are proud of every team and can’t wait to see you again next year—more skilled, more confident, and even stronger.

Avvenne dunque che il cane,
in quel breve e rarissimo istante concesso dagli dèi dell’obedience,
compì l’esercizio perfetto. 🐾✨

L’invio fu retto e glorioso.
Il focus saldo.
Il riporto rapido come vento di primavera.
E il conduttore, colmo di superbia e commozione, pensò:

“Questo video farà il giro del mondo.”

Ma ecco la tragedia.

Nessun’anima mortale stava registrando. 😂

Allora il gruppo, con ingenua speranza, pronunciò la frase proibita:

“Dai… rifallo uguale.”

E il cane, che poco ama essere preso per sciocco,
mutò immediatamente spirito.

Il cono divenne invisibile.
Il box mera leggenda.
Il riporto una faccenda da svolgersi con filosofica lentezza.
E il terra… semplice consiglio, non certo obbligo divino.

Così ciò che un attimo prima pareva opera degna dei campionati del mondo…

si trasformò innanzi agli occhi di tutti
in una modestissima sagra paesana del disastro cinofilo. 🐶🔥

Thus it happened that the dog,
during that rare and sacred instant granted by the gods of obedience,
performed the perfect exercise. 🐾✨

The send was noble and straight.
The focus unwavering.
The retrieve swift as spring wind.
And the handler, overwhelmed by pride and emotion, thought:

“This video shall conquer the world.”

But then came tragedy.

No mortal soul was recording. 😂

So the group, filled with naive hope, uttered the forbidden sentence:

“Come on… do it exactly the same again.”

And the dog, who does not enjoy being taken for a fool,
immediately changed spirit.

The cone became invisible.
The box turned into legend.
The retrieve became a task to be completed with philosophical slowness.
And the down position… merely a suggestion, certainly not divine law.

Thus the exercise that moments before looked worthy of a world championship…

transformed before everyone’s eyes
into a glorious village festival of canine disaster. 🐶🔥

Le cose veramente realistiche dell’obedience. 🐾😂

“Andiamo ad allenarci un’oretta.”
✨ 4 ore dopo siete ancora al campo.

Comprare 200€ di riporti…
e usare sempre quello vecchio distrutto.

Fare un video tecnico importantissimo…
e sentire in sottofondo:
“CHI HA PRESO IL MIO CONO?!” 😂

Partire con:
“Oggi facciamo precisione.”

E finire a:
🚀 lanciare palline
🍕 parlare di pizza
🐶 guardare video dei cani degli altri
🥂 bere prosecco per un’ora

Dire:
“Non premio questa ripetizione.”

…e dopo 3 secondi:
“Vabbè dai era carino lo stesso.” 😂

Fare 18 esercizi perfetti.
E tornare a casa pensando SOLO a quell’unico seduto storto.

E soprattutto:
arrivare al campo stanchi morti…
e improvvisamente avere energia per altre sei ore appena scende il cane dalla macchina. 🐶🔥

“We’ll train for just one hour.”
✨ 4 hours later you are still at the field.

Buying 200€ worth of dumbbells…
and always using the same old destroyed one.

Recording an important technical video…
while someone screams in the background:
“WHO TOOK MY CONE?!” 😂

Starting with:
“Today we work on precision.”

And ending up:
🚀 throwing balls
🍕 talking about pizza
🐶 watching other people’s dog videos
🥂 drinking prosecco for an hour

Saying:
“I won’t reward this repetition.”

…then 3 seconds later:
“Okay fine, that was still cute.” 😂

Doing 18 perfect exercises.
And going home thinking ONLY about that one crooked sit.

And most importantly:
arriving at the field completely exhausted…
then suddenly having energy for six more hours the moment the dog jumps out of the car. 🐶🔥

“Non confrontare il tuo inizio con il livello di chi si allena da anni: stai guardando il loro risultato, non il loro punto di partenza.”

Nel nostro sport c’è una cosa che spesso si perde:
il rispetto per il tempo.

Perché vedere un binomio fare un esercizio pulito sembra facile…
finché non capisci quanti anni ci sono dietro quel dettaglio.

Quel piede perfettamente dritto.
Quella conduzione precisa.
Quel cane attento, sicuro, stabile.
Non sono “talento improvviso”.

Sono migliaia di ripetizioni.
Errori. Gare andate male.
Allenamenti sotto la pioggia.
Momenti in cui si aveva voglia di mollare.

E forse una delle cose più pericolose nello sport è sentirsi “arrivati” troppo presto.
Perché magari oggi riesci a fare un esercizio bene…
ma chi pratica da anni ha costruito molto più di un esercizio.

Ha costruito esperienza.
Capacità di leggere il cane.
Gestione emotiva.
Dettagli invisibili agli occhi di chi ha appena iniziato.

Bisogna guardare chi è avanti con ammirazione, non con superficialità.
Perché dietro a quella semplicità che vedi oggi…
c’è una montagna di lavoro che non hai visto. 🖤🐾

One thing that often gets lost in our sport is respect for time.

A clean exercise looks easy…
until you understand how many years are behind that detail.

That perfectly straight heel position.
That precise handling.
That focused, confident dog.
None of it is “instant talent”.

It is thousands of repetitions.
Mistakes. Failed trials.
Training in bad weather.
Moments where quitting felt easier.

One of the biggest dangers in sport is feeling “arrived” too soon.
Because maybe today you managed one exercise well…
but people who have trained for years have built far more than exercises.

They built experience.
Timing.
Emotional control.
The ability to truly read their dog.

Look at those ahead of you with admiration, not superficial judgment.
Because behind the simplicity you see today…
there are years of work you never saw. 🖤🐾
