The Marina di Bolgheri beach and, of course, the mythical Bolgheri w**e zone, which is right behind the beach, home of some celebrated Supertuscans. We taste in small, little known w**eries Vermentino the savoury white of the coast, and then the celebrated Bolgheris.

VOLTERRA in the very center of Tuscany, is one of the oldest always inhabited cities of Italy. well known for the Etruscan heritage, the recently refurbished Guarnacci museum above all, and for the unique alabaster artifacts. nevertheless, it is still rather genuine, spared by the invasive big bus tours. only students and expert Italy s lovers go there. it is not a Città del vino, but it reveals a few good w**eries, like this one that we just visited. besides that Volterra is halfway between Chianti Classico and Bolgheri, the more classic and the more innovative Tuscan w**e zones.

San Gimignano, same day. the main square, is like a XIII century screenshot, with the stone twin towers, the City hall and the taller City tower, which you can climb to see all the landscape of Chianti and Valdelsa, and almost see Florence.

Just south of Florence, where the original CHIANTI CLASSICO w**e is made. Passignano Abbey, refurbished as a castle, is one of the more iconic views of the CHIANTI HILLS. The area is dotted with great w**eries to visit, like Antinori, Filigare and many more.
