Day 2 of the cruise and a stop at Isafjordur. A morning trip out for some whale watching. Bucket list ✅️

Then an afternoon on the ship with a beer in Draft Haus, 70s music quiz ( 2nd place) in Sports bar, comedy show in The Red Room , a couple of cocktails and then dinner in Pink Agarve.

Tomorrow is a sea day so time to chill!

First day on board Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady and a great sail away party on deck 15.

After a few drinks and unpacked we managed to pull our dinner booking forward by an hour.

A great first meal in The Wake with prime table with a view out the back of the boat!

Finished a brilliant sail off with waking up at 2am to notice the Northern Lights in all their glory.

Second day in Iceland and we explored some of the awesome sights the country has to offer.

A guided trip into the mainland with amazing views of the Golden Circle, Geysir and the Gulfloss waterfall with it's majestic power.

The day was topped off with a wonderful relaxing time at Laugarvatn Fontana where we relaxed in the peaceful warm lagoon with a cool beer.

Thanks to our brilliant tour guide, Peter, from Arctic Adventures .

Off on our travels and first stop is Reykjavik for a couple of days before we join our Virgin Voyages cruise to New York.

After a lengthy delay in getting through passport control we grabbed our pre-booked car to the city centre and our hotel.

Too early to check in so a stroll around the immediate area and stop for lunch. A wonderful bar bistro where I had one of the best fish and chips ever!

Then we continued our stroll around the town with a visit up to Hallgrimskirkja church.

Back at the hotel we made a discovery....the restaurant we found for lunch was actually our hotel restaurant and we had just found it via a different entrance! 🤦‍♂️ Bodes well for a tasty breakfast tomorrow.

All checked in and having a chill now until we pop out for a drink and snack later.
