We are excited to start a new round of WCS classes on September 7th!

Some fun classes and social dancing coming up 👀…

🎉 Háskóladansinn celebrates its 20th year of building community and teaching dance during the 2026-2027 school year! So to celebrate, we are planning a lot of fun activities throughout the year. Starting off with Styling Workshops and a Back to School Ball ♥️

We aren’t quite ready to share all the info just yet, but we wanted to have a save the date so you can start planning:

☀️ We will have workshops on Friday (September 4th) evening and Saturday (September 5th) day where we will introduce perspectives and movements from solo dance styles in order to incorporate into your partner dancing. The idea is for you to build up your dance vocabulary to be able to come up with styling which is all your own!

☀️ Our Back to School Ball will take place on Saturday evening and will be a big social dance party to cap off our workshops, and start off the new semester (and our 20th Anniversary year 🎂)!

These workshops will be equally as beneficial for leaders and followers. Also, we welcome dancers of all partner dance styles. We are happy to play music for you to dance to during our Back to School Ball.

Thank you to everyone who came to our Summer WCS 2 class! We are so proud of all the progress you have made and we can’t wait to see how your dancing keeps developing 🩷

We are so excited to (finally) be able to offer higher level classes for you in the fall with WCS 3&4! But until then, we can’t wait to see you dancing with us in the summer as we use our WCS skills for evil (only joking, or maybe not…)

Thank you to all the people who took their first WCS classes in our summer session! It was so much fun, and we hope you come and use your new WCS skills to enjoy the (hopefully many) bongó days this summer by dancing outside with us🩷

We can’t wait to continue your WCS journey when our regular classes start up again in September!
