6 ways to lose fat:

• Exercise - This is the most important and efficient way to lose fat. Fat is nothing but stored energy and by exercising you're using that stored energy. Do proper amount of strength training and cardio to use the stored energy.

• Reduce sugar and simple carbs - These provide empty calories without much nutrition which makes you gain fat. Try eating complex carbs like whole grains(oats, broken wheat, etc).

• Eat fruits and vegetables in every meal - First they improve your health with so much nutrients. Second they are less caloric so eating them won't result in fat gain.

• Don't underestimate your sleep - Less sleep makes you lethargic which results in less or no exercise and increase your cravings for junk food.

• Plan your relapses - Relapses are inevitable and they can hinder your progress. But this can be avoided if you plan how you will tackle your relapses, what exercises will you do at home when gym is closed, how will you eat healthy on a trip? Answer these questions to avoid relapses.

Getting required and enough sleep improves your health, reduce your stress, improve your mood, etc.
Here are 6 tips to have a better sleep:
• Exercise : Regular exercise does improve sleep, just make sure you do not exercise late in the day, it might cause sleep problems.
• Avoid caffeine after 5 : Caffeine can stay elevated in your blood for 6-8 hours this could lead to restlessness.
• Avoid blue light exposure before bed : Blue light which electronic devices like smartphones, computers and TV emit in large amounts. Avoid such exposure an hour before bedtime.
• Read something relaxing before sleep : it could be anything that calms you down.
• Stretch before sleep : Stretching helps your body relax thus helping you fall asleep easily. And don't forget this also improves your flexibility, a plus point.
• Self talk : This is my pre bed ritual. I tell myself - Today was a good day. I did my best. I won some and I did make some mistakes and learn from it. Now the day is over and my work is done. This statement helps me relax completely. The idea behind this is just unload all the stress of today.

Recovery is as important as pushing your body to its limit. When your body is not recovered you won't feel motivated, you will feel mild soreness in the body. So busy take a step back from regular training. Focus more on stretching and mobility, use foam roller and massage balls for myofascial release.

Be mindfull about your recovery and help your body be at its best.

• Drink water every hour. Drink less during eating.
• Enjoy! If you don't then you won't continue.
