Over the years, Nunchaku has become much more than a weapon for me.
It’s a mirror.
Every spin, every pause shows where my mind really is — restless or present, scattered or centered.
The practice keeps reminding me that it’s not about speed or tricks.
It’s about staying with the movement until it becomes breath, until awareness flows through it.

The fight was never outside.
It’s always been within — learning to meet the tension, the resistance, the impatience.

Slowly, Nunchaku became a way to listen, to see, to be here.

Stay close to your breath.
The practice is not in what we do, but in how present we are with it.

I recently attended a 3-day Zen meditation intensive at Kanzeon Zendo , near Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu — guided by Zen master Ama Samy, one of the few Indian teachers officially authorized in the Japanese Zen lineage of Sanbō Kyōdan.
His teachings bridge Eastern and Western contemplative traditions, inviting us to live the paradox of the self, the one that acts and moves in the world, and the one that is infinite and formless.

During the retreat, he emphasized this paradox “, the heart of Zen practice — to live both selves, to bridge the apparent and the infinite, to be grounded in groundlessness.

Ladakh has always stood as a land of clarity —
of vast skies, still mountains, and people rooted in truth.

Today, the people of Ladakh are asking to be heard,
to lead their own land, to protect what has always been sacred.
Their voice deserves respect. Their pain deserves listening.

I stand with the people of Ladakh —
not in anger, but in truth.
Not with resentment, but with resolve.

May this land and its people find justice, peace, and dignity.

In Cloud Hands, the movement begins from the ground, the feet root, the legs sink, and the waist guides. The hands only follow what the body and energy initiate from below. True Tai Chi is not about waving the arms, but letting the whole body breathe as one spiral, sinking to rise, softening to find strength, and moving with the current of Qi rather than forcing it.

On my first trip up in Ladakh, I stopped my bike-stunned.
On a barren, massive mountain, I saw tiny figures, people and sheep (animals), walking slowly across a place that looked impossible for life.
That’s what Ladakh is, unbelievably alive, unbelievably beautiful.

Its people carry a timeless culture, a way of living built on resilience and respect for the land.

This deserves to be honored, supported, and preserved, not from the outside, but through the voices and leadership of the Ladakhi people themselves.

In Contact Improvisation, every touch, shift, and spiral becomes a dialogue, a continuous conversation through gravity, balance, and shared momentum.
This practice is not about leading or following, but about sensing — how we yield, support, and adapt to what emerges between two moving bodies.

From the Himalaya Contact Festival, Dharamkot — a space where movement becomes communication, and presence becomes the language.

In Tai Chi, the Kua — the hip fold or inguinal crease — is fundamental to movement and body awareness. Understanding how to move through the Kua is not only essential for cultivating internal connection and fluid motion, but also for protecting the knees and maintaining structural integrity.

As my teacher Ariel .jodorkovsky in Thailand beautifully shared, learning to sense and move with the Kua is the key to unlocking the true mechanics of Tai Chi. It teaches us how energy travels through the body, how stability and softness coexist, and how each motion can arise effortlessly from the center.

Teacher .jodorkovsky also offering Tai Chi Retreat in Chiang Mai,Thailand in January, get in touch with him if you want to join.

I’m coming to Goa!
From 5th November to 25th December, I’ll be in North Goa, offering martial arts training — both group sessions and one-on-one practice.

If you’re interested, let’s organize a session — morning or evening on Mandrem Beach.
Training can be customized to your goals and intentions, whether you’re beginning your journey or deepening your practice.

🌀 Message me if you’d like to train together. Let’s move, breathe, and flow by the sea.

In Shaolin Kung Fu, the Bow and Arrow drill teaches us the fundamentals of structure, alignment, and energy direction.
As we shift from Mabu (Horse stance) to Gongbu (Bow stance), the whole body learns to coordinate — the feet root into the earth, the hips rotate, the spine stays alive and lengthened, and the power travels from the ground through the center to the fingertips.

In bodywork, this same awareness transforms how we give touch.
When we press, lean, or stretch, the movement should come not from the arms, but from the connection of feet, hips, and spine — just like drawing a bow.
The more aligned and relaxed the structure, the more effortless and effective the touch becomes.

A simple martial drill becomes a meditation in efficient movement, rooted presence, and embodied connection — the same principles that make Thai Massage both powerful and graceful.

I’ve always been fascinated by this observation — that in Contact Jams, whether in India or Thailand, with so many people moving together in one space — fast, slow, flying, rolling, alone or in groups — there are so few injuries.

It’s amazing to witness how aware people are — of themselves, of others, of the entire space.
There’s this deep intelligence of movement — the ability to fall safely, to move through density with grace, to listen and respond in real time.

That’s one of the reasons I love this practice.
It’s not just dance — it’s training for life.
When I walk on the streets or ride my bike, it often feels like I’m still jamming — navigating through space with the same awareness and flow that Contact Improvisation cultivates.
