3rd Annual General Meeting of GDBA
The 3rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of GDBA was held at Orthodox Hall on 5 June 2026 in the presence of Patron, Mr Nirmal Agrawal.
The General Secretary (GS) Mr Papu Pradhan formally opened the meeting by warmly welcoming all members and guests, acknowledging the enthusiasm and dedication that each member brings to the GDBA family. It was heartening to see a strong turnout, reflecting the deep sense of belonging and shared passion for boxing within the community.
Important matters related to boxing were discussed in a constructive and positive atmosphere. Members— came forward with their views, creating an open and inclusive dialogue that truly embodied the spirit of the association. Suggestions poured in on nurturing young talent at the grassroots level, supporting local coaches,
and creating more opportunities for aspiring boxers across the region.
Fruitful discussions were also held on upcoming boxing events, inter-club competitions, and plans to strengthen bonds with fellow associations. There was a shared sense of excitement about the road ahead, with members pledging their wholehearted support to take GDBA to greater heights.
President Dorjee Dadul Pulger addressed the gathering with vision and conviction, outlining the association’s priorities for the coming year. He spoke passionately about building a stronger, more united GDBA — one that not only produces champions in the ring but also fosters discipline, sportsmanship, and character among its members. He called upon every member to take ownership of the association’s growth and assured them of transparent and dedicated leadership. His words were received with warm appreciation and inspired a renewed sense of purpose among all present.
Patron Nirmal Agrawal also addressed the gathering with encouraging words, appreciating the collective efforts of the office bearers and members, and reaffirming his commitment to the growth of boxing and the well-being of every member of the GDBA family.
The meeting concluded on a warm and uplifting note, with a vote of thanks proposed by Karan Pradhan, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Patron, President, office bearers, members, and all attendees for their valuable participation and unwavering support. He noted that it is the unity and camaraderie among members that truly makes GDBA more than just an association — it is a family bound together by a love for the sport.
