We are delighted to share a historic achievement by our Founder and Chairman, Taekwondo Master Shreepada R Rao

After extensively studying the law, Supreme Court judgments and government policies, he personally argued the Foundation's case before the Hon'ble Income Tax Appellate Tribunal without engaging any advocate or lawyer.

The Tribunal accepted his arguments and recognised that organised sports training is a form of education because it develops knowledge, discipline, leadership, confidence, life skills and character.

This landmark judgment is an important step towards strengthening the recognition of sports as education and will benefit sports academies, coaches, athletes and grassroots sports organisations across India.

This is not just a victory for Yaksh*t Yuva Foundation.

It is a victory for everyone who believes that sports can educate, empower and transform lives.

The Udupi District Taekwondo Association had the privilege of hosting “Sports Leadership 101”, the flagship capacity-building initiative of Yaksh*t Yuva Foundation , designed to institutionalise excellence across the sporting ecosystem.

This comprehensive workshop brought together athletes, coaches, referees, technical officials, and office bearers, equipping them with foundational and strategic insights into sports governance, organisational architecture, and progressive pathways across competitive, coaching, and administrative domains. The session significantly strengthened the collective understanding of structured sports management and leadership dynamics.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Chairman of Yaksh*t Yuva Foundation Shri Shreepada R Rao for his visionary leadership, and for acceding to our request to facilitate this transformative engagement.

Grateful to our very own Shri Rajshekhar KP for planning to undertake such a productive workshop in Udupi.
